I've owned this scooter for 3 years and it has performed flawlessly.
One time I took it out in light rain that became very heavy. For a while, when turned off, the scooter would turn itself back on instantly. This also happened when it turned itself off automatically after a few minutes of inactivity. I believe on the first night it finally remained off after 5 hours, but then the problem repeated the next day.
I taped a bunch of silica moisure absorbing packs all around the upper electronics display parts, then sealed the upper parts with plastic and left it alone for a few days. After that, the problem was fixed.
The scooter still works very well. If I ever have to take it out in light rain again, I will cover the entire display/electronics parts with clear plastic to ensure no water gets in.
Overall I am very impressed with this scooter, and very glad I purchased it!

Nice, I have a clone if this and when I got caught in a downpour I put my jacket over the handle bars to protect that piece, glad I made a good move for once!

That's exactly what I should have done. I was very wet anyway so getting rained on without a jacket would not have mattered.
The 25 mile range is if Peter dinklage is riding it downhill.
Otherwise my wife who is tiny and around 100lb can only get about 12 miles on a non windy 70f day on level pavement.
All of their estimated mileages are BS.

Agreed that ranges are generally overstated, but I got about 20 miles range on a full charge, and I weigh 220 lbs. I haven't tried measuring the range in about a year though - it may be less by now.
500W motor and max speed is only 19mph? I've seen other 500W scooters top out around 26mph. Anyway to remove the software speed limit?
Supposedly it can be switched to standard S2 firmware, which is for smaller wheels so they will spin faster. If so, you can realistically hit 23 while the speedometer says 19.
I haven't tried it though, as 19 Mph is fast enough for me. I can already go 22-25 mph down hills, but I find that to be too fast and unsafe.
By the way, any scooter that can top out around 26 mph will cost hundreds of dollars more than this.

This review mentions a $545 retail price, 3 years ago! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxQQT3pxgWU
Turboant V8 lowest price is currently $570, which is $142 more, over 33% more than this Hiboy S2 Pro for $428.
In addition, for flat-free solid tires like the Hiboy has, the Turboant lowest price is $630. That's over $200 more, over 47% more than this HiBoy S2 Pro for $428.

Thanks for the heads up - added to first post at the bottom.

If it's normally $199, post a link to any price lower than $428 for Hiboy S2 Pro.
You will not, because it's impossible.

The Turboant V8 is about 10 lbs heavier than the Hiboy S2 Pro.
