Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't played this yet. It's PCVR compatible, multiplayer up to like 8 people, and is asymmetric so everyone can decide if they want to play in VR or not individually, and can swap between flat or not whenever. For $5 this is a steal, and is perfect for spoopy season. The second game came out this year, is still being updated, and is a continuation of the story from this game. These devs are absolutely worth supporting, these games are great

Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't played this yet. It's PCVR compatible, multiplayer up to like 8 people, and is asymmetric so everyone can decide if they want to play in VR or not individually, and can swap between flat or not whenever. For $5 this is a steal, and is perfect for spoopy season. The second game came out this year, is still being updated, and is a continuation of the story from this game. I played this as VR. It was definitely interesting to play a survival craft game that way, but ultimately i found the VR controls to be too clumsy for a game like this. The game is great on a 2d screen.

Because VR is a no-charge feature, I can't say anything bad about it, but buy the game if you like survival craft like Ark, Conan Exiles, Valheim, etc

Sons of the Forest (the sequel) is also 20% off right now at $24 FWIW.

Awesome game. Very emersive with an interesting story and awesome cave exploration. Also one of the best inventory systems I've seen.

I learned all about this through the multi-episode series on Hummy's VR Comedy (Youtube). Highly recommended — 3-4 comics basically do MST3K style improv in VR games. This was one of the better ones.

I gave this game a go a while back and did not enjoy it. The mechanics are too obtuse, and I didn't find the story to be engaging.

Thanks for the recommendation, is the first game multiplayer though? Didn't see anything about it on steam.

Yes, up to 8 players. I see on the web someone says if you click high player count you can pick 1-128 but I haven't tried

I would recommend this for the price, but sons of the forest for gameplay it's a big upgrade from the first in the series.

Absolutely, unlike a lot of indie developers, these guys actually put regular updates and keep improving upon the game.

Highly recommend this game if you haven't played before. Bit of a learning curve, it doesn't spoon feed you so be ready to look up stuff but it will be 2nd nature eventually and when it does, it's all the more immersive.
