Thats the whole goal, they are trying to make housing too expensive on purpose in order to deflate the housing market gradually to avoid a 2008 bubble pop again.

It could even help reduce inflation if this administration wasn't sending massive amounts of money overseas and set a reasonable domestic budget.

I had just invested in a 5.3% APY a few months back, didn't know about treasuries with Schwab. Hopefully does better than my stocks that are bleeding money like mad the last 6 months. Frown

With news today is it better to lock a longer CD? Want to lock in $96k with guaranteed return.

Trying to decide between discover, cap 1 as I bank with them or someone else if better as long as FDIC.
