This AX6600-E supports WiFi 6, but not WiFi 6E. (The RadiX AXE6600 WiFi 6E is in a different class and supports WiFi 6E.)

There seem to be two similar routers out there, this AX6600-E and the AX6600. According to MSI's website, there are three differences between this AX6600-E and the AX6600. Some of these differences could also be due to MSI staff's input errors/omissions. Who knows?

The AX6600 weights slightly more, although dimensions are the same.
The AX6600 has an extra "Web & App Filter" feature.
The AX6600 has an "AI QoS" feature. The AX6600-E only has "traditional QoS."

Here's a comparison chart from MSI: https://www.msi.com/Networking/Pr...1Sb3V0ZXI=

Does anybody have any experience with MSI routers? Seems like a good deal.

I got the non e version from Costco at the last sale. It's a pretty good unit but doesn't support mesh (last I checked)
I still haven't deployed mine, just set it up and noticed it doesn't support spaces in the wifi password, so I have to reconfigure all my IoT devices and I haven't had the time yet.

Edit: looks like this one isn't the AXE-, but just one with lights.
Beware: great price, but finals sale, so buyer beware.
I cancelled mine.

I'm in for one! Been in the market and boy is it a headache shopping for routers. Was considering the Asus rt-ax82u but for under $100 and a steam gift card and checking a lot of boxes what the heck. My current router is from my provider with wifi 4 so should be a step up either way.

I thought that too at first, but the AXE6600 model is different from the AX6600-E model; the AX6600-E here does not support WiFi 6E

Well that's confusing as hell. I hope you mean doesn't support Wifi 6E. Either way, I'm passing on this. Tried AX6600 but it was more to see if I could crossflash it to synology since it's almost the same but I couldn't so returned it.

Maybe they fixed the hinges

Edit: My bad, so used to seeing complaints about every MSI laptop because of the hinges.

IMO, this is a good deal at this performance tier. And the $10 Steam coupon makes a difference if you were already going to buy something on Steam.

Plus, you have until Jan 31, 2024 to return if it somehow ends up being a lemon.

FYI, Newegg's also selling this on Walmart's online store (but no $10 Steam code)... in case you have Walmart promo codes etc.:

Just keep in mind MSI is pretty new to the networking world. We will see how they do over time.
