Anybody use this for cleaning inside cars?
Here in my car, I can lock all the doors. I can vacuum it up, it's the only way to live.

In cars.

It's due to the filter, not the actual vacuum itself. Your best bet is a shop vac, with proper filter, for grill ash.
I concur, there are cheap ash vacuums

Don't eye this Vac. Livingaboard said it can suck an eye out šŸ‘ļø.

Not sure what dyson you have but the V8 has waaay more suction than this. I was considering this until I compared specs.

There's a hole in the bottom of my grill for the ash to be swept it.

It's a pretty good ash hole.

Not sure I would use a dyson for workshop/drywall messes though. This is way cheaper if you have dewalt batteries.

Definitely a big price difference than the Dyson. This seems to be a good value, price vs performance and a huge improvement compared to Dewalts previous cordless vacs.
I don't think this one would be any good for drywall either, as people say the filter clogs pretty fast.

On the other side, V8 dyson are pretty cheap used, when the battery starts failing and the dewalt battery adapter is fairly inexpensive. Reviews of this setup have been positive. Seems to be the perfect setup for high performance and dewalt battery compatibility.

This is a great vac, but the proximity of the inlet port to the filter itself tends to make it clog up quite a bit if you're trying to vacuum anything more than dirt / dust.

Picked one up at lowes, cleaned up part of my garage with the quickness, mix of wood and dry-wall dust. Just emptied the can and tapped the filter clean (its not a filter you can put under a faucet). Works good.

This vac looks promising but I'm already in the Milwaukee / Ego battery platforms.
Was thinking about getting into the Ryobi system because they have more stuff that's way cheaper then Milwaukee/Ego.
And now Dewalt has this!
Decisions, decisions......
