It's due to the filter, not the actual vacuum itself. Your best bet is a shop vac, with proper filter, for grill ash.

when you click on the url it takes you to an amazon page that shows 2 models I own the larger dewalt vacuum and it can blow when you reverse the inlets I do not however own the smaller vacuum so I cannot say about that one. The larger one however is an excellent portable vacuum

For someone that doesn't have one are these Amex bonuses unlimited? All I see are how much people save by using their Amex and another card I see a lot is Chase "Freedom". Are they worth it?

Just FYI, I received mine today and was disappointed to find the stick isn't long enough to vacuum ground while standing. Also, it would be awkward if they did have another extension as the flexible hose gets in the way when moving back and forth since you would be holding vacuum in left hand and hose in right hand (if right handed). It also has a high pitch whine that is much louder than any other vacuum we own. I'm sure it would be great for cars, but not worth it for just that in my opinion.

It is an ok vacuum. easily get clogged and hard to clean. I designed a prefilter frame one can 3D prints and uses it to hold some stainless steel mesh from amazon

I use the soft brush on my vacuums to dust. I'd rather suck up the dust than blow it all over the place. Works great!
