Yes, it has a motor and Bluetooth receiver and speed controller. You'll need a bunch of AAA batteries, but everything else you need is in the box.

Same price at Amazon. These sets are all cross compatible, and generic track can be picked up cheaply at aliexpress.

Does it actually run? Can you mix and match with other trainsets, like normal model trainsets?

My 6 year old built it last week, its a beautiful train and love the colors and that it doesn't come with any big pieces - it's all constructed. And the train is very fast when in full speed.

About add on tracks being cheap - it's not as cheap as like knockoff legos of Optimus prime.. i paid 65 bucks for a decent sent of tracks ( which is expensive for aliexp because plastic moulding is cheapest thing to do in China).

I believe you can use HO with Lego trains, or a friend claimed so.

HO uses 16.5 mm gauge track. Lego uses 37.5 mm gauge track. There's really no common gauge track that is compatible with Lego. O scale comes the closest at 32 mm gauge track.

If anyone is looking for cheap additional track this set of 16 curves and 8 straights is $20. (That is enough for a good sized oval) I just bought them and it's hard to tell the difference between these and lego branded ones. https://a.co/d/2G9r0uZ

Definitely incorrect. NO compatibility with other train sets or gauges.

You may however hear a reference of "L gauge" which is a reference to Lego trains, I've seen that a number of times at some train shows, where I would go "Hmmm what L gauge?" then when I get to the setup "Ahhhhh!"

I have this. I do like it. Get good batteries mine stopped working after 2 short runs. Only thing that sucks is very small train set included. Deff need more tracks. And need good amount of room to run them. But it was fun to build and is super fast.
