1 month and counting until the new season starts...

Any ideas on how this seasons going to go? The only previews/clips I've seen is Jack wondering around what looks like Arizona, and he answers his cellphone "How did you get this number?" I have no idea what's going to happen... and that's what i love Evil

like there's any doubt. stem cell crap would work. would not be surprised if kim is severely injured or killed (explains why she wouldn't be around next season) .

but what a ditz. lets run after a guy with a gun alone, no weapon. yeah it worked out but still. this wasn't my favorite season, but it was ok. need more jack bauer kicking ass, less tired story lines.
Jack Bauer kicked enough ass. Anymore and it would not be believable, even in "24" standards. Yeah, she was silly to chase him alone, but she was fast on her feet, to jump in the burning car to grab the laptop, which was the reason Renee and Co. located Jack and Tony.

Then Jack would have no reason to live if Kim "takes the bullet" for him. I think the surgery will be successful (although that might depend on how Sutherland's jail status goes laugh out loud ), but since Season 8 will take place sometime in the future, Kim won't have to be involved in the plot again. Her involvement in Season 7 made sense.

the chief doc at cdc or whoever that is, said 'the procedure is risky' does that mean kim is at risk? i would doubt that she would be at any significant risk during the surgery, and that the only risk would be with jack (which he obviously has nothing to lose at this point, other then him wanting to die supposedly)

I thought this season was one of the, if not the best. Although what might have ruined the entire season for me is:

Confused Confused

Other than that, it was a great season and almost worth the 2 year wait. LMAO

I just finished watching it on my CompVo. Here are some random thoughts:

- I love Kim Bauer.
- The First Man is a pu$sy.
- Jack Bauer kicks ass as always.
- I probably love Renee Walker as well.
- I definitely love the president (Mrs. Taylor).
- I knew it that Tony is a good guy (well, sort of)!
I said that at the beginning of the episode last night to my friend and she was like, NO WAY Roll

I was also trying to understand what the risk on Kim would be. It's not like she was donating a kidney. Confused

Hearing Jack scream like that when the bad docs took out the spinal fluid was a bit freaky.

BTW, that FBI doc is also hawt. heart Heck, all the women on the show, save Garafalo, are on the smoking side.

I thought this season was one of the, if not the best. Although what might have ruined the entire season for me is:

1) that there was 1 minute and 18 seconds left on the bomb and the guy was able to go through the turnstiles without swiping his MetroCard laugh out loud, argue with the police, go all the way upstairs, hand off the bomb to Jack and Jack was able to run into that truck all before the bomb went off. Couldn't they have made it that there was 2 and a half minutes left?

2) Then the absolute worst part was the fact that after getting the bomb that could have killed thousands of people, Jack went in the truck with the bomb (as opposed to just throwing it in the truck) and he was in the truck when the bomb went off and he barely reacted or even coughed.

3) Then less than a minute after this lethal bomb went off in the truck, the door of the truck was opened and apparently kept open without killing anyone else near the truck.

4) Plus how was the guy able to fast forward that SD card so quickly to the perfect spot and why would someone need a reader like that in their car and how long would an 8GB card really last? laugh out loud It was also a very impressive recording quality.

Other than that, it was a great season and almost worth the 2 year wait. LMAO
You're right about the bomb, but I figure in "24" time, everything is half time what it normally takes. The Hollywood effect. Wink

I was thinking the same thing! How did Ethan find that exact moment so quick, going through hours or days of recording in just a few sec. FOX should've shown him starting to go through the flash card. Then cut over to another scene for a couple min. Then cut back to him finding the incriminating evidence.

Yeah, it was worth the 2 years. Hopefully we won't have to wait another 2 years if Sutherland serves time. EEK!

I believe it was a bomb squad truck, that had what appeared to be an airtight room with windows that apparently would withstand the force of an explosion. laugh out loud So all the toxins would have been kept in that airtight room in the truck until it could be disposed of by some sort of hazmat crew. Dontknow I do remember him opening and then closing a door inside that truck though.
Iagree

but what confused me most about fast forwarding through the flash card, is why would it make the 'fast forward' sound?? its not a cassette, its an mp3 file Confused just scroll forward to a later part of the file

I was expecting it to wrap up the season much better than it did. I mean a tiny cliff hanger is 'ok' (although I even hate that shit---but it's become expected), but they left EVERYTHING up in the air. Farking sucked! I'm debating whether I'll watch it next season.
laugh out loud You and I both know we're watching next season.

I dunno. If it's the last season I'll watch just because I've got so much time invested. If they sign for more, I might not watch. That cliff-hanger shit really chaps my ass, especially the way the show is set up. Between every season TONS of time goes by, and they didn't clear anything up. It was just like a normal weekly episode that'll won't have any closure we'll see. What happens to Kim & Jack and the surgery? What happens with Renee and Wilson? What happens with Chloe? What happens with Tony? He's detained, but what exactly is he charged with? I think the only story line they actually wrapped up well was the President and her family.

Too much was left open. It's almost like the writers couldn't figure out how to get everything to time out to 24 hours. Like they could have ended it wrapping everything up at 22 hours or 26 hours, but couldn't get things to work out with the time they had. Stupid farkers. Annoyed

You think Tony gets any recompense for essentially catching the biggest terrorist on the homefront, something that the FBI would have never done if it were not for him?

Who knows. I guess we'll have to wait a whole 7 months for a quick 10 second quip about it in the first episode next season. Ranting

What difference would it have made? He was already infected, I don't think a double dose would have killed him any faster.

That reminds me of any TV show or movie where someone views something on his/her computer. If there's some fancy animation going on, like a file transfer Roll Eyes (Sarcastic), there's that high-pitched sound that his/her computer makes to show that something is happening. laugh out loud
