I've used a bunch of these Best Buy free promos. I think I reached my limit because I ordered a MacBook and it came with a similar free 3 months and it didn't work.

One response on BB's site says if you previously had a trial via BB it won't work. Don't know how accurate that is but their site only says New/Returning customers :/

Yes sadly it wouldn't let me claim it and I did have a free trial from BB before.

I've had previous BB trials and it worked for me. I got 5 months for tv.
3 months for music and fitness with total tech. It does say "up to 5 months" can't complain too much. Free is still free. Just have to make sure to cancel before you're charged.
