Was going to pick this game up, but seeing a lot of comments on BGG regarding lack of interactivity. I play board games to interact with others.. not to play on my own.

Flamecraft (7.5 BGG) and Quacks of Quedlinburg (7.8 BGG) seem to be decent 40$ish options if you can find a cheap filler.

There's an additional $5 off Target Circle coupon that might show up for some people that will stack and bring it down to the lowest price I've seen all year.

Great price on a great game.

Get the Oceania expansion pack, which makes the game even better.

Yeah, with both coupons and RedCard, it ended up totaling about $32 for me after tax.

I loved this game, but if anyone gets a good card early they will snowball and it's usually gg by the end of the first round. It is really frustrating to have to play out a game when you know you're going to lose by 30 points.

Any recommendations for $40+ board games?

I have a $10 off of $40+ (for pickup orders), $5 off of $15+ (toys and games) and the 25% off coupon (toys and games) that all stack.

This is one of my favorite games. It's really fun to play. The quality of the game itself is quite nice, nice quality paper for the instructions and comes with a cool cardboard dice tower.

Other expansions add more interactive qualities to it. Especially the Asia expansion where there is a two player version with an interactive board where you actively are playing defense to block spaces from your opponent. Wingspan itself may not seem very interactive, but my wife and I play it a lot together and with our friends and we love it. May not be your usual "interaction" game wise but you definitely have fun with everyone there.

This game has a lot more player interaction than a lot of games in my opinion.

There's a pool of shared dice. If you take one your opponents won't be able to use it.

You can get birds that have abilities that can trigger on your off turn from what your opponents decide to do on their turn.

There's objectives to be raced to and cards that players draft from. When I think of multiplayer solitaire boardgames, Wingspan doesn't come to mind for me.

We've got everything but Asia, and yeah, there's very little interaction (from the game), but we still enjoy it and 'interact' with each other (ie chat) in other ways.

We've got plenty of other high interaction games, WS Is still a fine game in other ways.

I wish Target had the expansions…

Comboed this 25% off one item, with 20$ off 120$, a 5$ off in the Circle account plus a few dollars cashback too. Got 4 boardgames, one was essentially free, great deal

Great game from excellent publisher, but frequently available around this price recently. Good deal, but don't feel like you need to jump on it, this price will come around again.

The interaction is pretty low, but there is some if you want to be competitive. However, you could just play the game not even looking at your opponent's boards, which is my main gripe about it as well. Every once in a while someone gets a bird power that impacts other people getting cards or food, but that's about it. If that's the case, maybe you can back off on a similar power knowing you'll be getting extra food or something.

I'd put the base set in line with Dominion base+ first two expansions level of interactivity (some cards that let you take actions like laying eggs when others do)
As noted above the expansion ramp up the interplay.
For what it's worth even when not playing cards that depend on other players I still keep an eye out on everyone else's boards to make sure I'm executing the right strategy to come out on top (will impact what I keep/discard, play, etc...). It's a fun engine builder with beautiful art.
