I bought a few of these for cheap storage from Best Buy for the same price. Besides having MicroUSB that nobody uses anymore, the design isn't all that great. The frame around the plugs doesn't lock in place very well and ends up retracting when you try to plug it in.

I used one of these for the obscure case of updating the firmware on my Samsung soundbar, though even that required breaking off part of the unnecessarily large plastic that surrounds the drive (for the drive to fit in the microusb slot that was placed too close to a corner in the soundbar).

Afterwards I put on music the soundbar can play (w/o resorting to using my phone & bluetooth), though the soundbar transfers a lot of heat to the drive via the usb connector. So, I'd say both could've been designed better.

I actually have two of these... one I've been carrying around on my keychain for almost two years and have had no problems. I don't really use the micro end, but it is small and sturdy. I also don't leave it plugged in for extended periods, but haven't noticed it getting too terribly hot when using it.

I used these in a few Xbox One/X consoles I have. My experience is that write speeds are bad, often limiting downloads to 80-90mbps. However, read speeds are totally fine and improve loading across the board vs. the internal HDD.
