This is not a whole lot cheaper than the 74.00 list price, but from the day it was as first reissued, it had been out of stock and being sold for well over over $100 on eBay.

QA Note: Now $62.65

8.1 on BGG, which explains

Based on simple and intuitive hand management, Heat: Pedal to the Metal puts players in the driver's seat of intense car races, jockeying for position to cross the finish line first, while managing their car's speed if they don't want to overheat. Selecting the right upgrades for their car will help them hug the curves and keep their engine cool enough to maintain top speeds. Ultimately, their driving skills will be the key to victory!

Nice price on relatively new title, but Days of Wonder titles tend to stay in print so it will come down further and I already have a game backlog :/

I played with some friends without learning the rules first, terrible way to play and hated it. I kept getting pulled back from corners because i was in too high of a gear. Seemed like it would be a better game to play in real life versus on BGA.

I do like that other racing game on BGA, Down Force, i recommend it if you have not tried it.

This went out of stock, hardcore, in March before coming back in stock, like this month. I put mine up on eBay, in shrink, for 250. Even put in the listing, " it's being reprinted. Barring world war III, It will be back.". Someone still bought it. I would consider the very real possibility that it will be sold out this Christmas.

I played this for the first time this past weekend. We played one "basic" game and one with a few modules mixed in. I liked the modular game a lot better but it was honestly a bit underwhelming. I had heard amazing things about this game for months so I guess I had high expectations.

It's essentially just a deck management racing game. You play cards equal to the gear you're in and try not to burn through your "heat" that clogs up your hand. That's it. Really not much more complicated than that. The entire time I was wondering why I wasn't playing Formula D instead which Heat obviously takes major inspiration from.

Not sure if this is worth paying over $50 for so I'd suggest waiting until it goes down in price more. It's not a bad game but I don't get the hype.
