The free set of tools isn't a lot but it's a decent list. If you don't already have the tire inflator, I suggest you get that separately as it's 50 bucks by itself right now.

4Ah + 6Ah + 8Ah MAX Output batteries for $179 feels like a reasonable deal. Anyone have any sense for how this compares to historic deals for MAX batteries with LSA?

Is that subcompact impact good? Already have the full size impact, but have had instances where it wouldn't fit, like for brake caliper mounting bolts.

How's the blower?

I already have a battery and I just DIY, so I was trying to do the hack. But is this actually a good deal even with the batteries?
I'm getting the blower, haven't seen it as part of a hack before.
The right angle impact and jigsaw would be my next items I want to add to my collection but I can't justify it yet. Maybe in a couple years.
Just looked, seems like this is the first time the right angle impact is part of a hack too.

I tried that but the website now throws an error saying both delivery needs to match. Either both shipped or both pick up, can't mix and match anymore.
Should still be able to pick up at different stores, no? Or is that messed up too

Damn I already have a lot of batteries and trying to stop the urge to get this with either the 8ah battery or blower. I wonder if they would still let me hack it so I can only get the blower/8ah battery.

I only DYI, but collecting tools is a bad habit. Only got 4x2ah, 2x4ah max, 2x3ah octane, 2x6ah max, 1x6ah octane and a 9ah octane? can't never have enough?
yeah it works. I'm jumping in on this one, I paid $249 for the same battery kit bundled with a circular saw and I thought that was a deal. returning that and picking up a few of these kits.

Best deal I've seen was this exact set of 6ah MAX + 4ah MAX on clearance for $85 solo. Got myself 2 sets.

This is exactly the same as when they did the 3ah, 6ah, 9ah battery deal a couple years ago. I stocked up then but am fighting the urge to grab some of these too.
More like about 5 years ago! I bought the kit, held on to the 9 Ah for at least a year or so then sold it for more than I bought the whole kit for. That was before I moved into my new house in early 2019.

Same deal was $149 a couple years ago, but still decent I guess.

Definitely worth it to do the hack for the $81, 8ah battery. It's made with 2100 cells. When it was on sale at the DTFO earlier in the year the battery was still going for over $100 and shipping wasn't free.

I have the older job site blower (not the smaller shop blower), it's decent, but not as powerful as my bigger 40V Ryobi. I'm guessing this newer blower has to be more powerful than the old one so I think it would be worth it.

24 Ridgid batteries here, including three 8 ah's and three 12 ah's! Yes, I have a problem. But my excuse is I'm a contractor and use them daily Wink

I have the original sub compact and its my go to. Brake jobs, sinking lags bolts, remove lug nuts. Just installed roof solar myself and used it for all the roof attachment 4 inch lag screws and solar panel clamps. To be 100% honest, I bought the older most powerful 1/2 Ridgid Impact wrench that came with a 4ah Max batt for only $129 on clearance and sold it. Just too big and heavy for my needs. Also, throw a 4ah or 6ah bat on that sub and it turns into a different animal.

I only mentioned because last hack deal I tried to do the worker at HD almost didn't let me return one of the items. Also some others have reported similar experiences so I'm not sure if HD is catching up to this and preventing it.
Order them delivered to separate stores and only pick up the one you want.

Not sure how to replicate that, I get an error that says both have to be same location. Might as well ship both to home then drive to store to return.

This new blower is supposed to be for leafs as part of their new outdoor power equipment line.

I think the poster was talking about the new subcompact right angle impact.
