GOD DAMN IT. I just bought the Strat last week.

Cart goes to Empty when I try to view it. Whew.

Edit - Didn't work on PC, Chrome or Edge.

Did work on iphone but ONLY using Apple Pay.

I bought this guitar for a bit more via a prior Adorama deal. Very disappointed compared to reviews I saw online. It's a combination of a bad acoustic, bad, electric, and has a piezo body pickup that doesn't work that well (you're not going to be doing flashy percussive guitar techniques with this thing) . Other people swear by them and love the versatility so maybe I just got a dud. It's like having a mini amp modeler inside a cool looking body. May be nice for people who primarily play electric that want something different, but it seemed gimmicky to me. Please look at real people's reviews before buying in to internet hype. Otherwise, this is the best price I have seen for this guitar, and I hope you like it more than I did.

As with the Taylor and Godin's that are like this, no one should assume this will make a "great" electric guitar NOR a great acoustic guitar. It's not gimmicky so long as you don't treat it as such, just like the first electric guitars were only gimmicky to those who used them that way. If you realize you are getting a unique sounding instrument that also plays convincing acoustic sounds but in a Jazzmaster shape and feel, you will be happy.

Actually, you'll be VERY happy. This American Jazzmaster Acoustisonic is absolutely worth $1k, the MIM price. If I didn't already own the Godin A6 Ultra, I'd be all over this. I probably should be anyway.

That's a shame, purchased the Acoustasonic Telecaster shortly after they were introduced. Was able to tour the Fender Corona plant and these were being made in the custom shop, till the new production area was finished and they had trained employees how to build them. Mine has been Steller. Of course it isn't going to sound like a full on acoustic, to think so would be pretty naive. However they're quite loud for the size of body cavity. Play very well, and the tones it can produce are many and very good. Terrific guitar to practice with and use for recording or live !!

One big surprise, how the mahogany has aged over only a few years. From a fairly light blond(ish) colour every one has seen , where now it has darkened to a beautiful deep natural mahogany orangey/red/brown. Also one guitar that has more than surprised me with a few short years of aging and the natural tones , resonance have improved beyond what I ever expected.

If interested in any model of the Acoustasonic's ,highly recommend the made in USA over the MIM. The electrics from pickups to entire SIRS system is night and day. Having spent time with both, the MIM version is lacking quite a bit. So much so, it loses a very good percentage of tonal options that make the guitar so versatile in the first place.

This is a terrific price !

Like others have said this is not a Jazzmaster. Many of us expected that from it. I like it coz I calibrated that I was buying a niche use guitar for sake of its innovative abilities that the Jazzmaster cannot do.

If you are ok with that then this is a great price for what I consider to be the biggest innovation that Fender has done since Leo days.

Every time an American Acoustasonic deal pops up, I almost pull the trigger, and then I always come to the conclusion that having a proprietary rechargeable battery in a guitar is just a terrible idea. How on earth could Fender think this was a good idea?
