I have this from a previous deal. It is plastic with some metal 'S' hooks and some plastic 'J' hooks. The plastic J hooks will break easily. It's not just about items being too heavy but if you hit them by accident, it'll just snap off. The S hooks are okay, however, when you are sliding your tool in and out of the hook, often times you will pull the hook off the wall piece. I wouldn't purchase again.
