Does not make sense... refurb bluetti same capacity with factory warranty often sold for less, and double size brand new bluetti is just bit more.

i would like to buy something for emergencies, but what to buy?

what good is a battery that will fail when needed? anyone figure this one out?

LFP battery is good. Get that Bluetti from the link above - good for TV/Modem?Wifi router, even fridge for several hours. Ow wait for BF hoping it would drop 10-20 more.

I went through this yesterday. I ultimately bought the Bluetti in the link above after looking at a bunch of these.

Two things I made sure to get:
LiFePO4 cells. Bulkier but safer than cells generically marketed as Li-Ion. Risk of a LiFePO4 battery catching fire is way lower due to much higher temp thermal runaway point. They also should last significantly longer from a charging cycle standpoint.

Pure Sine Wave. Most stuff will run fine on simulated sine wave but since the cost difference is negligible to get one with pure sine wave, no reason not to.

After those two points, the differences in what's on the market seems to be fast-charging times, outlet types and compatibility with various solar panel sizes. Since I plan on using this only for planned day outings or the occasional extended blackout, I didn't care as much about those points.

thanks. LifePO4 cells is the major point; thousands of recharges and durability. winter is coming and may thump our electric grid.
