I still have a stack of similar boxes to go through but this is a good deal. Storage that nests is handy. I'm slowly trying to organise metric fasteners for 3D prints, random gun parts, electronics kits, kydex bits and pieces... the storage needs seem to grow the longer I browse Slickeals for some reason.

If only there were a solution.

Can anyone offer experience or opinion re: https://www.harborfreight.com/bra...3928.html?
They are ok for the money, and very customizable when you mix and match the moveable bins of multiple cases. That is where the positives end.

The bins are molded in a way so they bow in slightly on the longer sides. The lids become warped overtime and have molding designed to keep the bins in place. Once the lid starts to warp along with the bowing of the removable bins, the lid never sits flush when closed and allows parts to move around easily. The front snaps are acceptable if you pick a good case, but I have some where the snaps don't close smoothly.

Saw the Stanley in store. $6.99 las vegas store. It was no comparison to the dewalt. The dewalts version is superior in every way. If you don't need a tank then go cheaper. But the Stanley is also much smaller.

In addition to what the previous replies said, these are massive. I went into the store to pick one up, but realized how big it was in person. It's 16.5in x 13in x 2in. Most shelves are 10-12in depth, so these would stick out. I have the craftsmen brand (same as these Stanleys), and they're more tolerable in size. I put them on my 10in depth shelves with no problem.

The harbor freight one also doesn't stack and lock up on each other like the Stanleys so you can move them all in as one piece.

Bins over dividers any day. Going with Dewalt
What is a divider?
A piece of plastic that screws slip underneath and get mixed up.

I had a bunch of these delivered today and I am actually more pleased then I expected. Fairly large, top locks on well, dividers seem to fit tightly so things won't slip underneath. Likely not the best in the world but a huge step up from the harbor freight pieces I have and for the price I can't build out a storage system cheaper.

The latches look cheap, like everything will spill out, based on years old models that looked like this one. But the description says 'innovated latch design' Hmm. Maybe they are good latches. Anyone who owns one want to chime in?

The other deal seems better either way. I think it's a situation where if you pay $5 bucks you will have something more worth having. I like the clear plastic on the other deal too. can see right in. I don't want to look through fog.

The latches don't seem too bad to me for plastic. I put some weight in closed it and held it by the lid and it did fine. My guess though. Fill it up and drop it on its side and the latch could break. I like the divider design better then bins that's why I went with these.

I bought 2 and they work well to store all my small batteries and a tester. The compartments are not large enough to hold the chargers but those are usually left plugged in on my desk.

I ordered this for in-store pickup and the price per unit is actually 6.88. YMMV.

They seem pretty durable, great for the price. I have purchases 2 of them and mouth ago and now i'm purchasing 2 more. If you will be using them all the time get the one's where the little cubbies come out.
