Tempted, but wondering if the 3gallon is worth double the price for some extra attachments and space. Would mostly be using it for house project cleanups (drywall likely most intensive) and cleaning the cars.
They both are worth it. I have the 3-gallon and was using it mostly for cleaning the cars. This one has a smaller footprint and may sit between seats a bit easier. Suction is great on the 3-gallon. I don't expect anything different from the 1-gallon.

Expensive replacement filter. Hopefully generic options will be available soon!

I got the 6 gal kit one for $78 in May from directtools, but there was also $15 shipping (but I ordered 3 items).

The kit version comes with charger and 4aH battery. I'd hold out for another DT sale, it seems they have them almost quarterly if not more often.

The 6 gal one is huge though, but awesome for the garage.

with the latest redesign, recommend getting the 3 gallon version since it has a smaller footprint than its predecessor. this 1 gallon one is a very small vac

also, for those who think this will be great for the car....it has a very very short hose. so maybe just for a quick clean up of a couple areas and that's it. just like the 3 gallon predecessor. you end up always stretching the hose to reach anything, and then it never goes back to original size and remains stretched (a common issue on the last one....which over time would lead to the hose breaking, and it's a proprietary hose). you can buy a wand extension, but with the already weak CFMs, they would take an even more of a hit.

note: this comes with 1 attachment.....crevice. you will need to buy others

There is a non-hepa one that is a bit cheaper.

But yeah... I am bad at replacing filters.

I tap on garage can - maybe vaccum with another vaccum - and keep using the filter.

The lack of a brush attachment is annoying also. This really is a "brushless" tool Smilie

I would spring for the 3 gallon, 1 gallon will get filled up very quickly for most of those projects, which will affect performance.

I would even spring for the 4.75 gallon stainless steel one - this one actually costs less than the bare one and includes spare filters: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../324714865

I bought this one in-store just three weeks ago for the full $79.
It replaced our old "dustbuster". This Ryobi is just as light and easy to carry but with WAY more suction.
It's perfect for cleaning the car - it has the right amount suction and you don't have to deal with extension cords.

From the product page's Q&A:
"the 1 Gal vacuum has up to 40 IOW, and the 3 Gal vacuum has up to 46 IOW" - RYOBI

Can she go from suck to blow?

I currently have a 16 gallon Ridgid but would love to downsize but want to keep that feature.
