In for 3. I saw that it includes both rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries. Can't believe the price. I recently lost my Olight Prerun 2: (https://www.olightstore.com/perun...e-headlamp) and I decided not to spend that much on flashlights again. This has comparable specs as far as Lumen output. Looks a bit bigger etc but I'm ok with that for $13.

Also looks like the cheapest price yet on ccc. Thanks for the post.

Have bought quite a few of these over the years. Though extremely bright. The light color is pretty harsh white if you intend on using it every day for work compared to more expensive headlamps like a Nitecore. Super bright and even the 18650 battery seems to hold up great. I glued one to my welding helmet, keep one in a vehicle as a spare. It's a phenomenal deal for what you get.

I had the same question when I bought this headlamp a couple of years ago. I can't recall the specifics of why it's called CR123 in some places and CR123a in others, but for CR123 batteries sold today, they're one and the same.

FYI: reading the product description on Amazon, it's not at all clear to me that it comes with the rechargeable lithium ion battery. Just the USB cable and the 2 disposable CR123s. When I bought mine, it came with both battery types. Although I did pay more.

I'd also say an additional disadvantage is the slightly substandard IPX4 water resistance rating, which is lower than most of the all metal, angled head lights this Energizer is styled after.

However, I've used mine in the rain without issue. This is otherwise a very well-built headlamp, especially for the price.

Thanks. It looks like the A variant is charged at a higher voltage. Which seems to mean that they are more powerful. I do not know if this would make any noticeable difference though.

I have this headset and paid somewhere close to this price. It's plenty bright and rechargable. Big fan of this one.

Highly recommend when working on cars, some spots will always be dark due to the hood, the flashlight also comes off and has a clip.

kinda sucks these lights doesnt stay on long when u have it on its highest , the lights dims it self automatically and u constantly have to keep on pressing it over and over , there's no way around it , same goes for the sofrin lights
it won't stay on the highest mode over 30 second...

I have purchased a few of these in the last year or so, they are a bit big for an occasional walking the dog, BUT that being said battery lasts a whole lot more than the smaller lights. Good Value IMO

i have the earlier black version bought for $12 and its my go to headlamp. its very bright and casts a wide flood light that is very smooth with no dark spots.

Of all headlamps this is the best very sturdy solid metal and you can remove it from the head strap.
