These are excellent sets! The trays come out of the boxes and fit nicely in the half width drawers of my Husky tool chest.

Any reason these are more expensive than the 51 piece 1/4" ($45) and 56 piece 3/8" ($65) sets from Gearwrench when those are on sale? Both are six point sockets. The Gearwrench cases are just ok and the Milwaukee seems to have some well thought out case design. The 1/4" Gearwrench includes a palm ratchet I have never found a use for. I saw in the Q&As on Home Depot that a Milwaukee rep responded to a question regarding manufacturing location that the ratchets are made in Taiwan and sockets in China. I believe the Gearwrench are all made in Taiwan. Gearwrench ratchets are 120 tooth vs 90 tooth Milwaukee.

I haven't looked at the Gearwrench set. There price/quality ratio is pretty good. But so is the better Harbor Feight stuff. This set is aimed at professionals and the sizes are carved deep and big. That makes finding the correct socket easy. Then they have the anti roll feature and really nice fit and finish ratchets

The 56 piece 3/8" set is on sale almost anywhere for $100, which I'm guessing is all most people need. But if you do specifically need the 1/4", then this is a decent price, given that it is also $100 right now.

With that said, I'd probably buy the 3/8" set now, and wait for a deal on the 1/4", if you don't need it immediately.

Combo is now $159!. The deal with the 2 sets is they have a packout insert that holds both in one case. The packout set isn't available anymore but the inserts are. Last time I checked.
