Well they do now. I'm sure they are aware and don't mind it. The fact that online it works only on non-sale full MSRP items, it must be worth it to them just to keep merchandise moving.

Yeah, email came out this month - Oct 17th. Email is titled:

You have points! Use them before they expire!

In that email there's a section titled:

We're changing out points expiration policy on Dec 1, 2023.

Furthermore, if you DO NOT keep an active Pro membership, your points are expired when your membership expires.

Mines expire in December and I won't be renewing. The last time I went to GS and redeemed my $5 for a $10 Nintendo gift card the rep told me this was the last month my store would accept them for gift cards. He said that some were double dipping and cheating the system so they changed it again. They also stopped the ability to buy gift cards with the monthly credit online so I have $5 a month that's worthless considering nothing is ever in stock at my store and even still the credit doesn't apply to clearance games.

In my opinion, it's a waste of time. Now if your store still allows you to go in and use the $5 credit on gift cards it may be beneficial but the next store is 25-30 miles away from me and my local Gamestop is only a few blocks from my home. I will waste $5 in gas chasing a $5 credit, not worth it.

The gift card policy seems to change monthly. My membership expires in Sept. Anyone have any CURRENT experience on if you can use your $5 on a Xbox gift card?

Last I heard it only worked on $10gc in store only

Mine expires in December, and I'll likely let it expire. Sure, the $5 off a $20 Steam GC has been nice, but I'm not buying too many games these days. So having to go to my local GameStop has started to become a bit of a chore.

What can we even use our points on nowadays? Cause if it's only for games, being a PC only gamer, I'm kind of boned!

I have been going and buying psn and Nintendo $10 cards.

I went earlier this month and used my $5

Will ask this weekend if the $10 cards are still eligible.

So I got the email on a very old account that I never renewed because I had issues with the email associated to it

I didn't get an email from my main account which the pro membership expired this month.

They fixed it so don't bother but since you asked - basically you go in-store and get a $10 GC of your choice and use your $5 monthly rewards to get it for $5. You then buy the same GC online ( just have your phone ready in the checkout ) and use the $5 rewards again so you get double the GC.

Like I said it's fixed but it made the Pro membership a great deal. Now though? Not so much.

My store lets me use my $5 monthly on $10 PSN cards ( in fact I just did this yesterday ) so I guess it's a YMMV thing.

The $5 monthly are allowed to be used on psn/xbox/eshop of $10 or more in store. Any employee who tells you otherwise is just being a pissant. Gamestop employees are some of the most miserable humans in general which really makes the good ones stand out even more.

If you really want to push the issue get the district managers contact information and argue with them.

I think they remove that $10 signup bonus offer when you use this $15 signup. Kinda lame. Though I do see 5000 points on my account. That's worth a $5 off. I know it's not the $5 monthly thing because I used it already for this month. Consolation prize?
I got the email and renewed my lapsed Pro membership in store yesterday but I have serious doubts over whether it's worth it. It's pretty Meh.

OK question....If I sign up for a new Gamestop Pro account now (end of October). I get the 10000 signup Bonus but do I get the $5 Monthly immediately to use too or do I wait a month for that.

When do I get my next monthly? A month from signup or November 1st??

Also is the option to get the printed magazine mailed to you at home still an option?? I see the printed version in-store and would prefer that vs Digital.
