- Click Continue at the "Start with unlimited" Page. Check that Unlimited Welcome is still selected (on the far right hand 3rd Black/Red column)
- Deselect Walmart+ Membership, click "Continue without Perks" at the bottom right of the page

The part you said about payoff is true
You're not paying $800 for the phones though. That math only works if you cancel first month of the plan.
P.s. actually, more importantly your model assumes you don't buy any new phones for the next 7 years. And you started with whatever old phone you have in hand.
If you are comparing apple to apple
This deal
Verizon $35 / month with a free iPhone 14 plus
Vs
MVNO $25 / month but have to pay 800 upfront to buy the phone. It would take 7+ years for this scenario to break even.
It makes no sense to me why anyone would recommend MVNO in this scenario.
The argument to not buy the phone is invalid because it's not the same. Might as well suggest the $5 tell plan for 100 minutes and 1gb of data
What I am trying to point out is for those who suggested going with a mvno $25 plan instead of this deal
