It is always a complaint when it comes to lower cost jumper cables. Truth is, though copper clad aluminum cables don't work quite as well as pure copper, they usually work just fine at a fraction of the cost. If max amperage is a concern but you don't want to spend for pure copper, then use shorter cables or jump up a wire size.
