What am I missing here? These are 27% off $399 msrp. Even Costco will have them on BF sale for $330 (+ $30 apple gc, so effectively $300 if you care about Apple GC) AND Woot here has lower than that. So it sounds like this is a great deal!

Has any of you seen these go any cheaper?

Simple, Sony xm5 is not $110 better than $179 bose. You can be there fan boy and buy at you wish. SDers are more slicker than that.

I am not a fan of the QC45. I get random "hiccups" with the connection to both my phone and laptop. I do not have that issue with the Sony's.

$110 is a big difference in price though. I'm not sure which one I would pick, but I do know I prefer the Sony's.

These were $270ish at target not too long ago?? Though u needed a student account. Nonetheless these r great headphones at this price point. Own them and makes my walks at school enjoyable

You are right for your use case. The XM5s have triple the amount of microphones for better NC and call performance. If somebody is looking for an all round ANC wireless headphones that are also good for taking meetings from zoom, teams etc, then Bose doesn't even cut close. Even the newer QuietComfort Ultra have very poor performance aka the voice of the person speaking through Bose comes very boxy and fluffy. Compare that to XM5, it's super bad. The sound quality is subjective so we will just leave it at that.
