Had to return this as it is NOT dishwasher safe. The plates don't come off and are a pain to clean

I don't like the waffles this makes. Something about the upright position makes the whole thing "steam" or something and the waffles always come out more like a cake than a waffle consistency.

I've never seen this cheaper than $69.99. Quite a deal. Finally jumped on it. Great return policy so could even hold through Black Friday and see if it is listed cheaper then.

Wow that's a pretty big error in the item description posted here. There are plenty of cheap waffle makers that will do everything this one does, one major improvement would be ability to easily wash the parts exposed to batter.

Got me a breville belgian waffle maker at Marshalls a few years back for like 40 bucks, it makes 2 of them. Dont use it often, but it's always EXCELLENT. and has a runoff tray too, so extra little tasty bites.

I don't know what you are doing to make your Belgium Waffle Maker to make it pain to clean. I have a Cruisnart double Belgium Waffle Maker. It was super easy to clean although the plates don't come out. Like someone said, I spray oil on the plates before pouring batter. Waffles don't stick to the plates and it's very easy to clean the plates. I just wet the paper towel and wipe after the waffle maker is cool to touch. If it's oily, I just add a little of dish soap to the wet paper towel and wipe the machine. I do that every time I use the machine.
