Worst thing I want to happen is my account gets banned and I somehow can't use my $15/mo Uber Eats credit I get with Amex.
- You won't be able to apply promotions including any promo codes anymore. If they show up in your "Promotions" tab waiting to be claimed by you, it will say the promotion can't be claimed.
- If you reach out to customer service, they'll tell you you've breached their terms of use and there's nothing more they can do.
Their chat is generally not helpful anyway because it's usually an overseas service agent who can only help by sticking to their scripts. (No hate to overseas agents at all). It's frustrating though, unfortunately, because scripts never work when an issue requires nuance.

How does one delete an account? I don't see an option to do so.
Open Uber App > Account > Settings > Privacy > Privacy Center > Account Security > Account Deletion

The "saving grace" I would say is your account isn't banned—only the ability to use claim and use promos. The service agents said I would still be able to call Ubers and book Uber Eats as normal.
According to them, "Uber reserves the right to limit or restrict the use of their promotions for any customer at any time for any reason."

I think they will let you use your AMEX cash but I dont think they will let use coupons
