I loaded the $20.72 gift cards onto my account and went to look at my account later and there is now a $0 gift card balance and a long line of entries in my account that say:

October 27, 2023 Balance withheld -$20.72

I then decided to try and load a card I was going to use as a Christmas gift and I get this message:

The gift card has been deactivated.

What the heck is Amazon doing? This is a giant mess. They deactivated all of my cards but haven't refunded my purchase price.

[EDIT] Looks like my GC only have $20.72 on them as well. Figured out that if you look at your order info in your account, it will list out all of the serial numbers of the GCs individually, and the amount on each GC.

How did you show them it was supposed to be $25? The order detail does not say anything about $25.

Try asking for refund of the difference. They sent only 50$ for $100 gc. They will refund the missing balance so end up with free $50 gift card

Did you succeed? The order detail does not say anything about the $100, so I cannot find any proof.

this is very YMMV. previous issue they issued a 5 dollar credit max and no missing balance
