Hilarious! You should try some of them via the Canon EF-RF adapters. They work flawlessly on RF bodies. These lenses are all excellent.

I used mine once in 10 years... Get the 24-70 2.8 II instead. You'll love it. Almost never leaves my camera. This is a great price for that lens. It's a brilliant lens.

These prices are excellent. I'm almost tempted to buy the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM even though I own the Mark II, and there is really no reason to upgrade.

The 85 and 100mm lenses are very different.
The 85mm with f/1.4 is designed to give you a very pleasing soft focus look for portraits.
The 100mm is a macro, which means it can focus closely, and also it has very flat focus, from corner to corner. You usually don't need sharpness in the edges (think of a portrait), but if you are photographing documents, for instance, you want that.

At 100mm, the macro is best outdoors, like if you photograph flowers or insects.
Thanks. Used my old 50mm 1.8 on Halloween last night, way too dark. I'm itching to get the ef 85mm 1.2 but it's 2006. Wonder if it's way too old now. p.s. Trying to keep a budget on a dying hobby.

Moving from f/1.8 to f/1.2 isn't going to help with dim light. It will a little bit, but not that much.

Either use a flash or find a way to put the subject's face in light. The camera captures light; that's the only thing it does. Photography is all about light. The camera "sees" light differently than our eyes do, and you have to learn about that and understand that if you want to get good at photography. I don't mean to talk down to you; I'm just trying to be helpful.

Yeah, I use off camera flash also. Do you guys use a lot of the 85mm FL? I never used it, I rented the 135 and didn't like it at all. Mostly just use the adapted ef24-70 2.8 for family photos n the cheap rf50 1.8 on walks.

When I go out with only one lens it's the 24-70 f/2.8, but when I shoot concerts I prefer the 85mm f/1.8. It's an inexpensive lens, but I like the results very much. Would the 85mm f/1.4 be better? Yes, i'm sure.
