Sd'ers thinking this was not a price mistake and Bose experimenting different price points will soon realize it was actually a price mistake when we see bf deals.
This is their new flagship and there is no way they would consider these prices until a new product is on horizon.
This ended up being my top 5 slickest deal all times.
Trying to get accustomed to the button placement and volume slider. I'm used to QC35II. Sitting in one place and my ears are sorta warm.
These definitely get pretty warm on the ears. Also, while the ear cups give a lot of room (both in circumference and depth), I do seem to notice that they bother my ears than my QC 35 IIs.
This could be the the fact that I haven't worn over-ear headphones in a while (been wearing buds+/2/2pro) and just need to get used to them again. It could also be the clamp force of the Ultras, which seems to be pretty strong.

Thinking I'll keep these, but not 100% sure yet.
Compare to QC 45, ultra uses different material for the ear cup and the ear cup touches more area around the ear. It also feels the cup inside is little smaller than the QC 45, I can feel the ear touches it. It definitely feels warm and less comfortable than QC 45. Maybe Bose goes for the slick and modern look and sacrifices some comfort. The immersive audio with some EQ is absolutely incredible, it has huge soundstage, perfect mids and deep sub-bass. This is the best sounding NC headphone Bose ever made.

The audio quality when using wired connection is abysmal… Could I be doing something wrong? (Connecting to HP laptop which is awesome with my aging ATH )

Just received mine and no issue with wired connection. Does the wired connection support the microphone as well? ****EDIT**** It does not.
BTW the Immersive Audio setting blew me away. I could have swore that my speakers were hooked up and I was in a stadium.
Also the black does show all the oils that get transferred to the headset.

Anyone know of a way to swap the black for the white color? Only the black was on sale so I didn't try.
Although, not sure if I'm keeping in general. It was definitely one of those buy now, think later deals since it didn't last long.
My QC 35 II are more comfortable and sound 90% as good. Also the battery is still extremely strong which still surprises me.
Only upgrades I can see on the Ultra are USB-C, better looking, more bass, and the extra features if you value them (I don't care about immersive sound or pause when taking them off).

Take them to your local Walmart and ask to exchange color. Probably would work if you're willing to deal with Walmart in-store customer service.

Depends on area but none of the stores around me have them. They probably know that these are going to be a waste of shelf space without steep discounts. Even at $270, the only reason I got them was because the build quality seems decent. If I see a good enough discount on the Momentum 4's or XM5's (used only to get the Allstate warranty) I'm returning them.

Thanks op
Also my QC35 II are 5 years old and just won't die. Gotta resist for now even though I'd like to finally destroy all my MicroUSB cables.
