BestBuy selling Z flip 4 for $299 for 128GB or $349 for 256GB . Tax will be on these amounts only . Should not be on full amount as phone price is reduced.

You can make one time payment immediately and after you activate the phone on new line , you can cancel the line within 3 days to avoid activation charges.

For upgrading customers , they can try talking to verizon customer rep to remove $35 fee in next bill.

This phone should have good value if you trade against S24 series or z flip 6 next year. This year they gave $900 and upgrade to z flip 5 was only for $99.

Also some time , samsung inflate the trade-in values with-in the year to boost the sale , like they are giving $1000 for Z fold 3 now .

PSA - BUYER BEWARE ! I am going to post this on any Flip and Fold deals I see.

Having bought 2 fold4 and 3 flip4 last year , i regret that decision already. The factory installed screen screen protector starts peeling off around the 1 year mark based on your usage, and you HAVE to get it installed via samsung or an authorized center to have the screen under warranty. You basically have to send it samsung who will replace it for $20 but can take weeks for you to get your phone back OR get it fixed at a authorized center for $70 where they need the phone unlocked and you have to tell them your passcode for the installation process. If its under a year it will be free for the first time but the process is still the same.

The screen protector came off 5 of 5 phones in my family so this is could pretty much be routine expense every year. For the Fold, i minimized unfolding and work of the smaller screen how. However, for the Flip you don't have a choice, you have to unfold the phone to do anything remotely productive.

Bestbuy will do it for free within the first year or $20 after. Only took them 15 min.

I got this phone at 399 or 499 last year at Google fi unlocked. with flip 5 already released, 349 is insane plus you need to activate it and pay another fee.

Not a good deal. IMO. Wait for a real good one.

Wow. A good reason to avoid unless the screen is bulletproof from the factory and doesnt need a film protector. I like my cheap glass and film on non fold flip screens

I have kids too but Not sure what having kids has to do with it..good to know you haven't faced any issues but the problem if prevalent enough for samsung to offer free replacement in the first year. The service centers I went to said they have seen these problems most prevalent with the 4.. something to do with how samsung is trying to make the crease less and less visible is affecting the adhesion of the screen protector at the crease.

You don't have to tell them your passcode, you put the phone in maintenance mode.

I got one time replacement for free at UbreakiFix, it took about 2 hours to replace the screen protector. They didn't require my Fold3 to be unlocked or locked version.

Not to mention the exorbitant charges from Verizon, including a plethora of taxes and fees. They had a deal for the Z Flip at $299.99 just before the Z Flip 4 was released. I placed an order but later canceled it. However, I was already charged over $230, and when I decided to return the phone, they billed me $121, despite me repeatedly informing them that I never activated the line. It took a frustrating four months to resolve the issue with them. Beware of such situations.

While it seems like that's the case, it isn't. As a Samsung certified tech, I have to run a series of diagnostic tests on the device which cannot be ran in maintenance mode. The tool we use is called GD Tool (galaxy diagnostic) and it requires the phone be put into developer mode, which requires the passcode.

That being said, the flips and folds have issues because it's a plastic protector that stretches over time. It happens to all of Samsungs folding phones, eventually.

Why do you need to run diagnostic tests for a screen protector?

I currently have a Samsung Note 8 -- on T-Mobile for 55+ (seniors) plan that I had for years.

Can anyone give me advice how to get a new phone of equal or better quality for a low amount of income.

I am on a senior budget & not sure how to get a good deal these days.

I do need the quality of the phone to be the same or better, bc some Apps dont work on this phone anymore ("not compatible with this phone") and I need good technology for my business/work.

Thank you.
