Slickeal Deal Alerts stopped

62 14 October 27, 2023 at 07:42 AM
I seemed to have stopped getting Slickdeal alerts emails around 10/24. It's randomly stopped in the past, and someone did something to fix it before. Not sure why it keeps happening.

I looked into this, and I see that we are sending you emails but something is causing them to "soft bounce".
Soft Bounce being defined as "Emails that bounced because of some problem on the recipient's side."

So potentially they are getting rejected by your email provider, or by some kind of spam filtering , or rules in your inbox settings etc.

interesting. Weird that cox would be suddenly blocking it. I checked the "SPAM" folder on their "Webmail" portal and I always find a dozen or so that end up there for whatever reason. But, I don't see anything in there from slick deals since the 24th either.
Oh boy cox will be super helpful figuring this out... Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Here is what I got from Cox so far.

A soft bounce is an email that's temporarily undeliverable. Is your Inbox full? Is the sender's email too large? I haven't heard of any Webmail issues in the last few days so it probably wasn't a Cox server issue. Did the sender give you a bounce code?

No to inbox full

Mine stopped a couple days ago as well. Has also happened in the past.

But only the Deal Alert Summaries, not the other types of messages, nor individual alerts.

That would counter any suggestion that it's an issue with my mail provider, spam filtering, or full inbox.
