I'm too tired to think this out, so what is the minimal buy-and-get-out with a phone on this?

Can you confirm that the pay off price will be $36? Usually on device payment plans you get a monthly credit and have to pay off the remaining retail balance to cancel. I don't see a monthly credit so I'm guessing this might be different but wanted to double check first.

Why would you pay for 60 days service and activation... instead of 3 days and no activation?

Unlocking happens either way in 60 days.

Did you have any trouble with Walmart's page after signing in to your Verizon account ?
I am getting this error on Walmart's page after successfully signing to my Verizon account:
"We are unable to retrieve your account data. Please try again later"
Wish I could get my questions answered.... It's in my Walmart cart only for another 7 hrs today.

Answer to your question is: No trouble signing in from Walmart to Verizon sign in.
The only "trouble" was when I refused the credit check option. The first time I went that route, it would not let me proceed.

Now, would OP please please answer my questions.....! TIA

Just Added a new line into my existing account at walmart store for Samsung A53 device . I make a down payment of $35 . So $1 split across 36 months on new line. phone was active immediately because this phone comes with sim card inside so line was active.

Came back home and disconnected the line after chatting with customer service and asked them to remove the line immediately from my account with immediate effect. They did it. Next bill estimate showing $6 for that cancelled line. So final cost of the phone will be $42. Have to wait for 60 days now to have it unlocked
This phone will have to be shipped to me.
1) I should order as new line and pay it off online minus $1?
2) Once I received it (hopefully within 3 days) I need to immediately cancel the new line to avoid the $35 activation charge?
3) I can pull out my current SIM and pop into this phone and it should work?

Right now I have the phone in my Walmart cart going the UPGRADE route and my final cost is $71 because of the activation fee.
- Any way to remove the act. fee?
- And if I cancel the line (the upgrade) I will lose my current phone # and service? Right?

TIA

Much better than your S6 that came out in 2015
i seriously do not understand these types of question.
comparing a phone released in 2022 to one released 8 years ago.
mind boggling

Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge during the first Samsung Unpacked 2015 event at Mobile World Congress on 1 March 2015, for a release on 10 April 2015 in 20 countries.

Availability. Galaxy A53 5G will start at $449.99, and be available on March 31, 2022 at T-Mobile and Verizon, as well as AT&T, Samsung.com and other retail and carrier partners beginning April 1, 2022. Pre-orders for Galaxy A53 5G start today, March 17 through March 31, 2022 on Samsung.com.

I had the same problem. It might be due to the payment you are using. I had a 5 dollars coupon in my cart so it made the final price to a negative number, which the Walmart did not proceed. I removed that 5 dollar discount, and it went through.

Thanks for your reply.
Right, OP got it in store, but there are none in any Walmarts near me.
- So your advise is not to do this new line purchase online?

What about my UPGRADE line purchase for $71 final price?
- Any way to get the "activation fee" removed/waived?

TIA

---no i think u should. what i am saying is that the 35 downpayment is not nesscary (or may NOT even be possible) when u do on line

Thanks for walking me through this again (I've never done one of these online phone purchases before).

I went through another purchase using the NEW LINE option.
- skipped the port-in my current phone # and below is what's in my cart.
- my cheapest monthly offer is $40.

So in this scenario, what I need to do after the purchase is:
1) pay of the phone either online or Verizon store, $36.
2) chat or call to cancel the new line within 3 days of activation. Remove the monthly ($40 minus 1-3 days of service fee), and activation fee ($35).
3) take my current SIM and replace it in the A53 and now good to go with my old line.
- is this the process? Thanks.

2) chat or call to cancel the new line within 3 days of activation. Remove the monthly ($40 minus 1-3 days of service fee), and activation fee ($35).
--souunds like it

3) take my current SIM and replace it in the A53 and now good to go with my old line.
- is this the process? Thanks.
--not sure, but will take the a53 60 days to unlock. regardless if u have service or not for those 60 days.

Signed up as new account. Got the phone today. How do I login to online account? After entering email, it ask me for password, but there was no password setup when I did the purchase on walmart.com. On walmart, all it asked was an email to create verizon account.

On the phone with agent for 1.5hr, still can't get the phone activated.

You need to register for a new account with verizon. It will ask for phone number zip code and pin which you created on the walmart website. Once these details are entered you'll be sent a PIN to the phone which you have to enter to complete the registration process
