Not true, it has a cassette (on the picture at least) , and rear derailleur hanger. While rim brakes and wheels are of low quality Kent-Huffy type, it is a much better bike vs Walmart will offer you at $170. No RD hangers on WM bikes until you go to $300. Cassettes - the same (you want to verify they will not send you a freewheel). If you look at the seat post, 31.8mm handlebars, ergo grips and adjustable stem - those do not exist on WM sub $300 bikes. Same for 3 frame sizes. I know more about WM bikes than I want to know, and can price out most of component and suppliers. This bike is a decent $300 city bike if you don't like outdated rim brakes and ugly wheels.

I can't speak to this bike's quality. But I currently only see two men's bikes less than this on Walmart.com. One is a single speed and ugly. The other is just ugly. This bike at least looks good and you can pick your size. Some people might still like this offer

I ordered other Univega deal 2 weeks ago and haven't not received any order confirmation or any other communication yet they charged by credit card.
Now i think about it and reading through comments from other deals, no one has received anything.
Feels like I got scammed and probably have to call my credit card company.

There were very few reviews on any site but the price was so low I took a chance. Box took a little beating during shipping but bike was well protected in box. The company emailed me with updates every step of the way. It is a Christmas present, so I can't assemble yet because I have to keep it hidden. Parts box is well taped and I checked all other components and really happy with purchase.

Ordered a univega back in October. Received the bike with a damaged rim/spoke from shipping. Emailed and opened a warranty for a replacement rim and was immediately told that a spare was on the way. They even gave me a warranty order number.

I have until today not received my replacement rim. Several emails sent. No response. I've been completely ghosted. Think twice before ordering from this company or their parent company KENT.
