Reliability is still important and favors discs. MicroSD cards are a far less stable storage solution for long term usage. SD cards typically have a lifespan of around ten years, with things like usage being a determinant factor.
A blu-ray disc is meant to last 100+ years. It doesn't matter how much you use it. It is pretty resistant to damage as well.
it's right under the price, it was there yesterday for a short while then removed but it's back. same has been happening with other titles - the coupons come and go. i suspect that on Monday they will stay longer because amazon will be matching the best buy prices
plastic media with movies is so outdated. you could fit the whole movie on microsd card

I have this and it's not the kind of super duper sharp 4k you may be thinking. It's like the cinema type. Someone smarter than me can explain better but it's still awesome. No brainer.
Mine had a working digital code. Code doesnt expire until next year. The listing even states this.
Digital Copy Expiration Date β : β March 31, 2024
Does this mean you have to redeem before then and you have account lifetime access or you can only access the digital copy through March 2024?
Also is the digital on Amazon Prime library, Vudu, Apple, Movies Anywhere, etc?

I would say it's probably your equipment and or setup.
This is one of the few movies that is reference material especially on the AQ side IMO!
Only a benefit on disc though, digital is vastly inferior.
Always chuckle when they praise using some pricey "Atmos" soundbar with streaming 4K/UHD! π

you have until that date to claim it, will be in your library after that with no expiration date. Usually its Movies anywhere so it will port to all the other services you have, so claiming it on there will populate apple, vudu, google and amazon with the movie. Same should happen if you claim it on Vudu and any other service, but I usually just do it on the movies anywhere app since you can just scan the code.

I don't know when it leaves Netflix but with the 2nd part out in March next year I'd wait for a 2pack.
