This is an ultra wide so your dpi estimation is way off. The text is not poor quality at all. This monitor isn't great for fast paced gaming but I use it for sim racing and used it as my desktop monitor for years. It's awesome for working because two windows fit nicely side by side and you don't have to deal with windows horrid multi monitor support. I think you can find a better deal on the same type of ultra wide screen but with better specs between now and cyber Monday through

Depends if poor text quality bothers you. 27" 4k text vs 35" 1440 text is like Playstation 5 vs Nintendo 64
If strictly for productivity do 2 x 27--32" 4K for productivity/gaming hybrid try the 38" Alienware IPS monitor that pops up on here all the time

Speaking from someone who uses their monitor for productivity and usually multiple windows open. Would this be better than a 27 4k monitor?
I have this and a 32 inch 4K side-by-side I find I use this for productivity, much more just because the extra width allows me to put windows side-by-side. My two Cents
One other note. Technically, I have an older version, and the colors aren't amazing nothing pops.
Thanks to all that commented to my question. I didn't think it was important to mention until I read someone comment about windows horrid multi display management. I do have 2 LG 4k monitors side by side and a small 21 inch 1080 monitor on top in triangle formation. So I figure worst case I can just replace the 21 1080p monitor but now I wonder if that's overkill. On a side note my office tends to run a little warmer than the rest of the house. I know having a PC running 24/7 and 3 monitor might give off some heat but I doubt it's that noticeable I might just be crazy though.
I own this monitor. Have for a few years now. I leave it on quite a bit and never had any issue. You can overclock to 120hz using displayport. I could only get up to 112 with hdmi. It can do hdr but it's like 250 nits so really pointless. Still a damn good monitor for the price.

It's ultra wide, so the 35" is diagonal length. It's a 21:9 35" which is the same pixel density as a comparable 27.57" 16:9 1440p. That's about 30% less dpi than a 32" 4k display.
But as someone who has dual 32" 4k and another setup with 2x 27" 1440p along side an LG 35" 21:9 1440p - I honestly prefer the 2x 32" 4k setup better. I use them for coding, so text setup and having tools and browsers side by side for easy access is a must. The higher dpi is more preferable for me.
