Warranty is kind of moot half the time. For Samsonite and probably this, you have to mail it into a service center which is probably going to be half the cost of these things considering how bulky they are.
At my Costco it was $129.97 so marked on clearance. I snagged it at that price. Just worth mentioning that the carry on does not have expandable storage or a TSA lock - only the checked bag has that. I know it's mentioned in the description but wanted to highlight it here.

Overall nice luggage and a great deal at the price. It's not their nicest set but you'd have to pay double or triple to upgrade to their high end stuff and the difference isn't that noticeable.
This. +1. samsonite automatically approves your warrant request with an immediate RMA, then when it gets sent to the authorized repair center they let you know that Samsonite doesn't cover it and you have to pay out of pocket for the repair. At least this was my experience for 2 repairs.

Had to return mine as the carry-on doesn't have the option to expand and has squeaky wheels less than a few months in. I exchanged for the cloth version and so far so good.

Two different stores and it's $189, both Rancho Cordova, CA and Sacramento, CA
I checked citrus heights. So by product number the $190 one in store is a different product.

I'm debating between this or Sam's club luggage.

note that this carry on is slightly bigger than most carry on airline maximums which list 22" x 14" x 9"

What kind of issue did you have with the Member's Mark set?

I recently bought the set due to them using quality components (YKK zipper and Hinomoto wheels). When I got them, they don't feel that much "quality" overall. But I guess at that price point, I can't expect too much.
One of the little pieces of rubber that is a bumper came off the large bags. It just provides a little extra cushion for the baggage handlers. I called to ask for a replacement part and they just refunded me. It is totally functional still and the carry on is 100% fine.

They seem better quality than my 6 year old Costco Ricardo of Beverly Hills set. They arent going to be mistaken for Tumi or Briggs and Riley but at this price I reccommend as the best value.

Bought it and returned after first use. It topples over easily.

Good info.

I never really understood the allure of high end luggage... Does it really matter that people see you with high end pieces? I'm not sure I would notice or care if I saw someone with a tumi bag and never heard of Briggs and Riley

Can anyone compare this to Samsonite.
Samsonite has a 10 year warranty I think
Costco return policy > Samsonite warranty.

The previous model wasn't balanced. This set is very well balanced. I have 3 sets and no one that has used them has had a tip-over yet.

5 yr warranty, if that helps
Meaningless. I have tried with Samsung with a broken zipper.

BUT I have gotten all my luggage paid for by Airlines, including my carry-ons because the airlines have damaged them.
One time they told us that we needed to check our carry-ons... so we did... and when we got them they were both stained with oil???? And our main bag, main zipper had broken (it was a miracle that our stuff did not fall out) and I needed to duck tape the suite case for the return trip.

But this luggage is made out of PC and hits all the features that I would want.

Where did you find the size of these bags?

Had these. Liked the large one a lot, but the hard shell cracked around one of the wheels after like 2 trips. Maybe airport did something egregious but idk.

The small one is pretty small and not expandable, which for me is sort of a deal breaker.

Who else gets a kick when you stand at the luggage carousel and you see another Costco suitcase? Always makes me chuckle after a long and miserable flight

I grabbed the Samsonite set that was $150 (ended 10/22) last weekend, although the large suitcase looks to be about 4 lbs heavier. Both say they are polycarbonate. 5 yr vs 10 yr warranty, although warranty doesn't really help you when your stuff breaks at the airport!

I have never bought a hard shell. Always worry about breaking the hard shell. Any experiences? With hard shell?

Wow that's some racketeering for a pricey brand name.
