If you really want to get pedantic, the official name (ISO 10664) is hexalobular internal. Rolls right off the tongue.

Turns out all of my other sets skip from 6mm to 8mm (bits, sockets, L wrenches...nothing). Luckily I found one set that had a 9/32 bit which is just a hair over 7mm and did the job.
This set is tempting just because it doesn't seem to skip anything. Ditto on the SAE side--I only had one random set of bits that included the 9/32. Most skip from from 1/4 to 5/16 (8/32 to 10/32).
On the other hand, it is missing the x.5mm sizes. I can't say I use them often, but somethign like this set: https://www.homedepot.c
contains 2.5,3.5, 4.5, and 5.5 in addition to the 7mm

What is your point, that is $34 vs $7. There are no basis for comparison. If that was $10, then they could be compared.
