"In the 1st year of the warranty, panel, parts and labor costs are covered. In the 2nd-5th year of the warranty, only panels are covered, and labor will be charged." From LG website.

Please explain.

Edit: Just read that the 83" doesn't feature the MLA technology introduced on the other sizes. What a shame.

I bought the 77 a few weeks ago. The wall mount that comes with it is really sweet, puts the TV flush to wall if you can run your cables through the wall and put a recessed outlet in the right location. It allows the TV to extend out about 4-5 inches so you can hook up cables, then press it back flush.

FYI the LG Partner Store, for those who have access, has lowered their price to BuyDig's after-GC price (e.g. the 77 inch is $3150) if you don't want to deal with GCs.

One downside of the Partner Store is they don't accept returns unless the item is basically DOA. If you don't like panel uniformity, etc. they won't take it back. Not sure how much of an issue that is on MLA panels.

What are the chances of a better deal on this TV on Black Friday?
Why do people keep asking that? No one knows! Even if there is a deal, it will probably impossible to actually get your hands on one.

How do you get access to the LG Partner Store? I tired signing up with email but it said contact admin. Is it for wholesale customers only?

Typically it's for employees of companies that have a business relationship with LG. So if you have a corporate email address, you can try that. If it doesn't work, then there's no way to get access.

Not sure if it's a deal or not but Costco currently has the G3's on sale. The 77 is $3499 with a five year warranty and a free voucher for a tv stand.

In the end both TVs have their merits and no one choice is better than the other. Depends on the use case and preference.

I'd enjoy the s90C if I were you. it does color brightness really well and covers the palette well.

G3 buyers can enjoy aspects of their panels.

They both are close. If one prefers G3 then this is a good deal. I think it is a shade more than the ebay deal a month ago so it seems to be the price for the season.

G2 panels were hard to come by and dipped it price much later in their cycle iirc.

Personally I wanted to get a Samsung but couldnt get myself to for my use cases.
sadly, I may have to return it, anyway. I have a weird condition where a lot of tvs hurt my head worse than other tvs and I think the samsung is going to be hurting it more than the sony did, for whatever reason.

Calibration doesn't effect the picture processing. Calibration adjust color volume and white levels so to produce the most accurate color and highlights or "creators content". The image processing may handle some of that but the big thing is upscaling lower resolution content to 4K. That and smoothing out movement by reducing judder and SOE. That's why enthusiasts will pay the Sony-tax, because their processing is next level.
I know, but you can't always tell how well a tyv does if it's not calibrated. Originally on the sony I thought the picture was horrible and it was night and day difference after calibrating it. So if I were judging it before calibrated I'd have thought the processing was worse because it looked so much worse from the various grayscale and color issues.

The samsung right now looks not great either. It mainly looks washed out. So it's going to be hard for me to judge it in that condition. Meanwhile, my parents have an older lg and not calibrated and it looks good out of the box.

Does BUYdig send you a GC or just take the money off the price? Last time I bought one from them they just subtracted the GC value from the price.
Just take it off the price several weeks later. It is really dumb because you pay taxes on the total item and then have a specific dollar amount then subtracted.

My budget js right around what the 65" is priced at here. I was wondering if i should go with this G3 in 65 or go to the C3 on 77? I currently have a 65 in the space, and a 77 will fit, but isnt necessary. Is the G3 a significant jump over the C3 where the picture quality trumps the size?
how could anyone answer this question for you? you don't provide the information needed for anyone to answer well. What is your current TV? if it is not in the past few years, either OLED would likely be great for you. do you prefer a bigger screen or better picture? I would go for the bigger screen if I were you, but I don't know your preferences.

I guess they take the 370 off later and not give GCs. Last time I bought a TV they refunded me back that GC amount.

also you get the 4 year CPS warranty which is a bonus.

I have similar predicament. Couch is 15 ft from wall mounted screen in average to darkish room. Have a 10 year old 65" Panasonic Plasma that's been going great but moving it down to the basement. I feel like a 77" LG C3 might be the way to go for my upgrade (I mostly watch streaming tv/movies and sports). I have a largely unused PS3 connected, might get a PS5 one day or a N Switch but not imminent. Will probably get Vizio 5.1.4 soundbar to round out the setup.

Agree with your instinct- I'd go with the C3 in your shoes. The transition to OLED will be huge, and the size difference will be extra great.

Sorry if this was mentioned tried to look through the comments but couldn't find it. Does anyone have experience with CPS warranty? Sounds promising as there's burn in coverage. Recall that AllState/Squaretrade does not cover burn in.
