I owned the 2022 model as my daily driver and loved it. The bright screen, loud speakers, rock-solid-&-slim form factor, and pretty good reliability all contributed to it being maybe my favorite laptop overall of the last couple of years. Timespy pulled 4,700 with the Turbo Boost disabled. G-Helper is a big improvement over Armory Crate.

Looks like this iGPU-only 2023 model pulls not quite 3k in Timespy. So if you can find a 2022 model Open box or used locally, that's going to be able to play 1200p games much easier. But if you only play casual titles, this 2023 model should fit the bill. I just liked having the 3050ti for extra oomph on FPS games.

the one available for $899 on BestBuy is Ryzen 9 6900Hs instead of 7940HS

The specs say 7940HS but the features say 6900HS. One is a mistake. Going off of the model number, it is the 7940HS.

Meh . iGPU last year was same price and with laptops decidedly much cheaper to date, this is not a screaming deal

Its "affordable" if you are looking for this type of laptop. There is no other laptop that benches this high in processor and with either integrated or discrete graphics in this form factor both in size and 2in1 touchscreen. Unicorn status indeed with all these combos especially a touchscreen in the gaming laptop world. I would LOVE to know if there is a competitor....searched high and low. That GV301 that was on sale a couple weeks back may be a better deal if one is looking for discrete graphics with higher performance if they can sacrifice the small updated features of this GV302 model.

Perfect for those like me that want to play casual titles at times but 90% of it is for work. Coming from a spectre x360 i7-1065g7 13in which defo has lame integrated graphics.

I don't disagree. It's an awesome laptop. Just that I've seen better deals in last years model with 3050ti. Suspect there will be similar very soon.
