Adding to this my experience getting my tires service and rotated through them was painful. No way to book it online. Either phone or in person. Furthermore my local Sam's service wasn't great.
Last thing to note. My local Sams tire prices aren't fixed. I'm not sure if that is nation wide or not. If yours is like mine it is very possible to barter the sticker price.

Thinking maybe it's worth just calling discount/America's tire tomorrow and asking if they'll price match this, but it sounds like there might be an extra fee per tire anyway lol...

I'll check my paperwork again. But my tires are down to 5/32. Figured I'd be getting new tires for Labor Day.

Maybe you are 100% correct and the location we go to is just lax in enforcing any rule.
