My friend that works at monoprice told me about this deal and has confirmed that most of the subs on this sale are in fact new items. Monoprice are simply trying to meet sale quotas before the end of year. That explains why so many in stock!

I wish they would sell out so I could stop considering these.

As someone whose Monolith 12 v2 amp died after 15 months and is currently going through an RMA process, I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole. If it had the full 5 year warranty, it would be tempting.

I'm guessing this is a massive bump in output from my SVS PB2000?
The freq response is similar, power is 4x so 6db louder, and physically the longest dimension is 29 vs 22 (24 w grill) on the pb2000. I'm a pb2000 owner and would love to compare the two.

I have to REL 1205's if I got this could I mix them or would this just drowned out the 1205s and I wouldn't need them anymore?

This is a killer deal. Get a couple if you're on the fence, it's more comparable to a $1300 sub.

153lbs? Make sure you have enough beer to pay off whoever is going to help you move this around.

If I didn't buy the Monolith 15 for the same price in May, I'd be all over this. Incredible price IMO.

There's a review comparing this to SVS PB-2000 (pics attached) for the new condition... I have a PB-2000 and would love to jump on this but this a frickin' 150+lb monster compared to <70lb for PB-2000.

Killer deal. In for 1. Already have the 15", but did not buy the 13" because of the price difference.
will 15" pair well with the 13" to smooth out response? (auto with room correction) or is there a lot of tweaking that needs to be done?

I got the M-215 $1000 free ship deal a few months back. It arrived looking brand new. They are packed very well. Hell of a thing to move to the basement (216# for the M-215).

I want a second sub but I'm not sure this is the best match. I'm kind of waiting for the M-15 to have a similar deal.

If this deal had come up first, I would have sprung for (2) of them instead of the M-215. The audioholics review for this 13" is a great read. The James Larson review is worth reading.

Isn't it weird they got som many open boxes of these?

I'm also interested as to why there are quite a bit of these available for open box.
Looking at an unboxing video and it is a chonky boy. Best I could find regarding actual issues is references to noticeable "chuffing" problems, but the main counterpoint I read is that any ported sub will experience chuffing at different thresholds so its all personal tolerances.

Stress test it for 90 days straight in case and also come to terms that it's schooling on the other kids at this discounted price point.

Anyone have experience with their open box subs?
I bought an open box 12" from them a couple months ago. Manufactured in 2020, serial number was a sticker, looked like it had fallen off a truck and rolled down the highway. I dragged that behemoth to my basement, hooked it up and it sounded like a mild fart -- almost zero sound. Turns out the amp was fried. To their credit, they took it back and paid for return shipping. But I had to drag it back up the steps, box it up, and convince FedEx to take it (they said it was too big/heavy, even with the return shipping label, lol ...). This 13" is bigger and heavier.

I then decided to try an open box SVS, which looks and sounds pristine. YMMV, of course, I hear they sound great when they work. Specs are certainly impressive.
