It doesn't compare at all. Allstate will do everything possible to not have to honor the warranty, huge headache.

I own both, use for different reasons. Pro's strength is active noise cancellation which knocks out background noise - think cabin noise on a plane, city noise, whatever. They don't knock out 100% but enough where you don't need to crank the volume to a dealing level.

Then there is fit and comfort. The Pro's have a rubber nub that seals in your ear. it's part of the active noise cancellation.

The AirPod 3s are passive so ambient noise will get it. These are good for walking or running when you do want to be aware of surrounds. The Pro's have an ambient mode, but I can't run with them because the seal creates an internal echo in my ears with each footfall. (This is a phenomena with all sealed buds, not just AirPods). The 3's buds are just hard plastic and sit just inside the ear and do not create a seal. However, some people find them uncomfortable. It just depends on your ear.

Soundwise I don't find one better than the other. Supposedly the Pros will offer lossless audio via a software update but I think that feature will only work with Apple Music (the streaming service, not personally stored music in the Music App).

You are correct. Take note of the shorter return window for Apple products.

On October 17, 2023 Amazon finally announced to their sellers that the 2023 Extended Holiday Returns policy will allow items purchased between November 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, to be returned through January 31, 2024, except for Apple brand products, which can be returned through January 15, 2024.

Good to know! I have the original chase freedom, not freedom flex so will have to look into it more.

I ended up reordering today from Amazon so Order date is Nov 1 which is within holiday return policy.

Try diff reps. Mine was "we don't price adjust but I'll give you one time exception". Might also be my account tenure but who knows. Try other reps, it can't hurt.
