The shoes labeled Saucony Endorphins are actually called Endorphin Trail. They were released a few years ago and there was a recall on them due to the sole falling apart. I believe that was just one colorway (checkered black/white) so these should be fine. I have a pair and ran a 50k in them earlier this year. They're a bit heavy, but the midsole has that nice bouncy Endorphin feel so they're nice when you want to pick up the pace a bit.

Eh, yeah, kinda fugly lookin', but I need a new pair of work boots. In for a pair of the Merrill's; never had a pair before and figure I'll give them a try. Don't know that I'll do much better than $35 out the door for a set of name-brand boots.

The $38 Wolverine Wellington is comfortable out-of-the-box. Good build quality. 2.2 mm thick leather at shaft and 1.2 mm at instep. True to size. Drop 1/2 size if you have narrow feet. Inside heel cushion area could use more glue (noise when walking). Adding two nails solves problem.

"Tactical" is very often just a marketing term for black & "cool looking", sometimes including molle straps. Thus most folks call it "tacticool" at this point. Any time you see it, be wary as you're paying some level of extra $ for the word. Personally, I wouldn't trust it without a lot of research into its reviews. Look for actual hiking boots like the ones named later. And remember that unless you have wide feet, you can convert back & forth on the women's & men's pretty easily.

Got tactical waterproof boots.

I don't wear boots like that but sometimes when it's snowing for 35 bucks these will last me for 10 years..🤞. Just like the other ones I got 15 years ago.

Every time I've bought Merrell I've had to glue them back together earlier than expected. If you can get them 60 or 70% off they're a fair price.
