It just turns on autorenewal when you enter the code, you can turn it off. It's in the description.

$30 promos are frequent. 1TB of cloud storage for that price (plus actively updated Office with new features, etc.) is still a pretty solid deal.

I'll just chime in for anyone that has a current FAMILY account managed by MICROSOFT (not amazon), and wants to buy this, it works. Wait about an hour or so and the code comes in. When you add it to your account, MS will say do you want to keep the family account or convert to personal when your current sub expires. just say keep family, and it extends is 9 months. Easy peasy.

I'll be buying one more license to extend it out until 2025. This seems to be the better deal (break it down to per month) compared to buying the 12 or 15 month family pack directly.

This is great, and yes, it is typical $40 or sometimes less, but this is good if all you need is the office apps. I've bought this for a few people I know.

However, the sub is really for the OneDrive service. I use it to share files with many clients and it's been pretty useful for that. I've been on the lookout for a similar service, but haven't found a good alternative yet (that's not google).

But yes, if all you need is the office apps, go for this deal, but wait for it to be $40 or less.

Bought one and added the 9 months to family without a problem. Bought another and it "timed out" and then said the product key had already been used and the expiration date did not change.

Antonline tells me this has never happened before but told me I have to contact Microsoft with the receipt (oddly enough they don't mention the keycode) and it's up to me to fight with microsoft. Seems like antonline should take responsibility.

. When I looked again, the extra nine months had been added so it was probably a Microsoft thing and not Antonline's mistake.

Just bought 4 of these and added to Microsoft, got 3 additional years for 150 bucks. Not a bad deal especially if I can sell the Nord and the games.
