Considering this game came out October 20th last year, it was not $15 just over a week later. Lol. You're thinking of the first Mario + Rabbids game. This is the cheapest I've ever seen this game.

how's this compare to the first game
First game was WORLDS better. This took everything that made the first thing good and threw it out the window. They changed the mechanics so its this weird run around mechanic that is annoying to plan for and they dropped the co-op option. They could have made a few tweaks to the original and changed the story and it would have been great but they tried making a new game and calling it by the same series name and it BOMBED. It hasn't even been out that long and it is already this price. Its one of the few games I wish I could have returned and have never finished. Neither I nor my kids are interested in playing it.
I thought the original was about the worst Mario game I've played. Haven't tried this one, and probably won't.
I wouldn't call this a "Mario" game. It's a turn based tactical combat (XCOM) with a Mario and Rabbids theme. If you bought it for a classic Mario experience then yeah you'll be disappointed
