Usually it's a promotion for new device only, but somehow the Open Box is eligible for the $100 GC.
You might also get $50 certificate if you are total member and spending >$500 before end of Oct 31 on top of it.

You're paying for the screen mostly. Are there any laptop at this price that has 900 nits oled screen

Curious about the Lenovo P12 tablet, is it IPS or OLED, I found conflict information online, and even Lenovo US doesn't explicit specify that.
Lenovo Tab P12 screen is 3K and IPS. If you want the same screen and processor like Samsung S9, you go with Tab P12 Pro. However, Tab P12 is all you need for entertainment with JBL speakers that can be purchased for $250.

If you want to go with Samsung, I would recommend go with S9 or S9+, not ultra since it is too big for a tablet and you end up using your laptop more. I had S8 Ulttra and traded in for S9 since Samsung did not have AMOLED screen on S8 back then.

That's not what you said. You said you traded in an s7+ and got it for $100. This requires trading in an ultra phone and a s8 so again, no you didn't just straight up trade in a s7+ and get the 9+/ultra for $100. The lowest that deal recently got to ended up at like $380.

I would agree with you that basically we need a good phone and PC (or laptop for those who are constantly travel). I can do all what a tablet can on my Samsung S23 Ultra and even faster and in more convenient way. After owning tablets with the latest release (S7, S8 Ultra, S9), I now realize that I don't need them. They were my consumer's hunger, not my need. I can't say for other, but most of the time it is used for surfing, watching youtube, checking emails, reading a book which I can do and do a better job on my S23 Ultra phone and if on my PC and laptop, it black and white difference.

A 13-14 inch laptop at the same price or much less will serve you in much and greater spectrum than this Samsung S9 Ultra tablet. Now I mainly use my Lenovo Tablet for taking notes and having them converted to Word for my meetings' minutes and records since it is faster and save me more time than typing on my laptop. Spending almost $1000 on a device which I don't use much does not justify my spending.

Again, if someone has a lot of money and don't know what to do with such money even generate 2% interest on it, you buy one and see it rests on your desk most of the time. For me with the extra money, I place it in my bank for divident and interest or a safe for family and personal emergy, or taking my family to restaurants.
I use my Galaxy Tab 7+ almost exclusively for YouTube videos, occasionally web page browsing and reading documents. Do I need a tablet for watching videos? Not necessarily, I have my phone/laptop around. Does it do the job well and is worth the money? Absolutely, especially at $313 (or whatever that deal is). It is of the right size, it has a great screen and speakers, it is fast enough and it is easy to carry around. When I travel, I often carry the tablet instead of a laptop if I want to watch/read something on the way, need to look things up or need to do light work. Fortunately I can easily afford the tablet, and it is worth it to spend that extra money even for very "basic" stuff.

Same thing for musicians who use iPad Pro 12.9 for music sheets. At that size, it is actually not convenient to carry it around or watch videos in the bed, but for many people even doing one task (well) is worth the price tag.

Yes it did. You are salty as you lost out on the deal. Matter of fact, I got the S7 tablet for like $50 from Samsung during the 40% off coupon fiasco and additional $200 off coupon for the inconvenience which stacked.

What if you got the chance to do the trade in for almost free after flipping the "2" ear buds pro 2 and cashback/cancellation refund/credit card cashback. Would you do the trade in like i did?

Still very pricey.
I owned Samsung Tab S lines in the past and currently own a Samsung Tab S9.
I strongly recommend to get a newly released Lenovo Tab P12 since you don't need the best. All other important works you can do it on a laptop or PC.

Lenovo Tab 12 is also at BestBuy which is on sale now for $329 that 1/3 the cost.
Lenovo - Tab P12 with Precision Pen - ZACH0165US - Storm Grey [bestbuy.com]

At Lenovo for $269 for a 128MB storage model [lenovo.com]. Many people don't need more since you can place a microSD card on it to expand the storage. Spend the rest of you money for family at restaurant instead please. hug
128MB storage? Come on now.

WTF.. for real dude? How did you manage to do that? The S22 ultra upgrade to s23 ultra requires at least $200-300 on top of trade in already. I am paying too much. F this.

My hands got tired holding the tablet while I sit on the sofa. How do you hold this big thing? No enjoyment at all.

Sure did. I picked up the S9 ultra by trading in the s8. They get such crazy sales once in a while.

It's definitely not meant to be handheld. No one should expect that from a tablet this size.

This or an iPad Pro? Mainly used in bed for media consumption. It'll probably never leave the house.
