Another hackable Ridgid deal from Home Depot. This one is unfortunately a pretty high initial cost, but some of the "free" tools are good deals after the hack.

Two tool brushless combo kit for $379:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../322743102

Add the two tool combo, one of the $199 tools, and then the tool you're actually interested in to your cart to get these prices:
Two Tool Combo$379$184.87

8AH Battery$149$77.68
Leaf Blower $189$93.39
String Trimmer $189$93.39
Hammer Drill$149$77.68
Ext Reach Ratchet$199$97.07
Angle Grinder$139$73.47
Impact Wrench $179$89.62
Circ Saw $169$85.74
Router $179$89.62
Jigsaw$179$89.62
Oscillating Tool$129$69.15
Recip Saw$169$85.74
Grease Gun$189$93.39
Inflator$49$29.62
RA Impact$199$97.07

Some of the individual tool prices have been better in other recent deals, however some are very competitive. It looks like the inflator hasn't been that cheap for almost two years.

I ended up putting in two orders to get the inflator and the 8AH battery at each of their respective lowest possible costs.

And because somebody will always ask, the Home Depot "hack" is adding the above tool combo and free tools to your cart, where you can see the combo and free tools broken down and itemized at a now lower price. Each item is treated individually as far as returns, so keep the items you want and return the ones you don't.

Bonus:

Went through and calculated the prices from the $179 battery deal from this thread:
https://slickdeals.net/f/17008786-home-depot-179-buy-ridgid-18v-6-0-ah-and-4-0-ah-battery-kit-and-get-free-tool-179?v=1
Just for my own curiosity to see which had the better tool prices. Most are pretty close, but depending on the tool you're trying to get would determine which combo to pair it with to get it at the lowest possible price.

Two Battery Combo$179.00$84.76

8AH Battery$149$81.31
Leaf Blower $189$91.93
String Trimmer $189$91.93
Hammer Drill$149$81.31
Ext Reach Ratch$199$94.24
Angle Grinder$139$78.24
Impact Wrench $179$89.50
Circ Saw $169$86.93
Router $179$89.50
Jigsaw$179$89.50
Oscillating Tool$129$74.97
Recip Saw$169$86.93
Grease Gun$189$91.93
Inflator$49$38.47
RA Impact$199$94.24

Get the 8AH battery. That deal doesn't come around often.

Agreed. I think Octane was kind of the pinnacle of Ridgid so far. Some of their newer tools and especially batteries feel cost and performance reduced. I think Octane was stepping on Milwaukee's toes so TTI had to nerf the new Ridgid stuff down a bit.

Wow, the price of these has nearly doubled in just under 5 years. I bought this set in January of 2019: https://slickdeals.net/e/12588880-ridgid-brushless-hammer-drill-and-impact-driver-2x-4-0ah-batteries-115 and got the 1/2-inch impact gun as the free tool. I'm still impressed with how well each of the tools work and how long the batteries last. Smilie

They double the price and offer two free tools and make people think they are getting great. Are all marketing strategies and business deception

To be fair, I think the new ones have double the torque of the old ones and come with higher capacity Max batteries instead of the base model batteries.

That being said, I also have some gen5x tools and have not exceeded any of their capabilities.

even with the "hack" the tools and batteries are overpriced. I bought the jig saw alone for $191 after tax. Then the "hack" deal came up and i was able to grab it with 6a+4a batteries+ charger and a bag for the same price $191. I'm sure HD knows about the "hack". Even at "half price" ridgid is still overpriced.

Yeah, save some money and buy the inferior yellow tool thats the same as many Blue Walmart tools. Or pay more and buy the expensive red tool.

And they wonder why people "hack"....lol.

You can get many of these tools on Amazon for the "hacked" price.

But without the LSA coverage, which is one of the best features of the Ridgid ecosystem.

Pretty dumb that they don't allow LSA registration of brand new Ridgid products sold at Amazon. Turns me off of the brand all together.
