I cannot really compare to many other brands as I mostly just do the Costco Kirkland nuts.
I often buy the Kirkland salted and unsalted mixed nuts.
Kirkland is 2.5lbs, this is 2lbs 2oz...
Kirkland is usually $17, this on sale is $10.xx
Flavor test:
1) Salt: The Planters Deluxe Salted in this item seem saltier than the Kirkland Salted Mixed, and I usually like to mix my kirkland salted and unsalted, for my desired mix.
If you like salty, these will be good for you. If you think Kirkland salty is too salty, this one will be too salty for you.
2) Texture: The Planters seems more dry compared to the Kirkland, exp on the planters is Sept 2024, so it should be plenty fresh. A bit more chewy, maybe you like that.
For me, the Kirkland has a more crisp yet easier to bite into texture, if that makes sense. Nuts feel like the Kirklands have better moisture or oil content for a richer flavor.
3) Mix of nuts, as some have mentioned, it does seem slightly heavier on almond content, this is fine with me, it also has hazelnuts and pistachios which kirkland does not have. Kirkland has Macadamia, which Planters does not.
Overall Rating from me: B
It is a bit salty for me and the texture is a bit harder than I like.
If you like more chew and salty, it would be great for you!
