I received iPhone 13 today from walmart..
After inserting the SIM card and activating it, I chatted with Verizon.
The first agent refused the payoff and said it would be possible in 14 days.
The second agent sent me the URL right away and I paid $299.
Then I cancel line. I need 60days for unlock.

I tried to do it with an iPhone 14 in walmart.com when I saw this deal. It asked me to login to my Verizon (I'm with vzn), and asked for permission to pull credit. I declined. I think anything with a payment plan will need a credit check.

Though this is 36 months contract , but once you activate the line, you can pay off it via chat rep or in cash in verizon store . Once phone is paid , you can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation / upgrade fees. Wait for 60 days to unlock the device.

THIS IS NOT MONTHLY CREDITS. AMOUNT FINANCED will be $299 or $99 , depends which phone you select.

Carful it's Walmart which means if it leaves their facility then it wont be scanned and you will have a non unlockable phone in your possession. This happened to me with an AT&T iPhone 13 mini, shipped from a Walmart warehouse on Postpaid installment. Walmart never scanned the phone so the AT&T system never saw the phones imei enter it. Therefore it can be activated but not unlocked since the "Preactivated line" is not able to be activated due to the missing scan.

I hope you read "Postpaid accounts only" in Ad , which means billing which means credit check if you do not already have account.
soft credit pull?

in general, idea is for 1 phone. 1 at a time.
look the deal is "seemingly" complicated to begin with.
ultimately, cant get all permutations.

folks have to use a bit of logic, and also and this is big, read the posts.
lots of folks give good tips

plan doesnt matter.
its gonna be cancelled in 3-days anyway.

risk is minimum, if they do not let u cancel. which is rare.
port away, effectively cancelling everything.
making full payment due, immediately.
which is either the 299 or 99
no more than that.

Just risk of things going sideways for a phone that should simply be able to be bought outright for <$400

will usually sellers set price not buyers.
regardless if u think the phone outright should be

a phone that should be <$400.
unfortunately, that is not reality
cursory search says ip13 is abt 600 today.

apple will generally keep value
hehehe......got a feeling desi gonna bite on this deal....

I think you need to pick a plan when you activate. so when you pay off the phone, dont you need to pay the plan you picked during activation?
Best way to cancel is to port out after paying off the phone and within 3 days. Porting out automatically cancels your line, no need to talk to a rep. plan will either be $0 or prorated.

I don't think pro models have ever been offered in deals like this.

What's the most reliable, low cost place to port out to?

I work in the department that sells these phones at Walmart. Great deal with no contract. Like everyone else is saying, pay off device and keep or cancel service. New and existing customers. I work in the Orange County California/Los Angeles area so if anyone has questions or help, please message me.

If I try to get this deal online rather going in store, would the 3-day clock start ticking after receiving the phone + activating service x days after ordering?

Thats strange. Every time you post deal for Verizon postpaid like this and every time have to explain all steps to the folks out there. I am not sure , if they are all new and never seen these deals or they just donot want to do some research on their own.

For verizon phone, no need to keep the line open for 60 days,
1. you can activate the phone on new line
2. Pay off the phone via customer service or in cash at verizon corporate store
3. cancel the line within 3 days and no activation fee . Pro-rated charges for line for 1-2 days only.
4. Phone will be automatically unlocked in 60 days. No matter you use it on existing VZN line or keep it in drawer .

I hope no more question around this.
I really want this but completely new to this type of deal, so for #2, paid off the phone via Walmart customer service or Verizon customer service?

Can we buy the iPhone online once the deal is active and then pick it up and pay it off at the Walmart store on the same day? Also is this for the 64gb only?
