I received iPhone 13 today from walmart..
After inserting the SIM card and activating it, I chatted with Verizon.
The first agent refused the payoff and said it would be possible in 14 days.
The second agent sent me the URL right away and I paid $299.
Then I cancel line. I need 60days for unlock.

I tried to do it with an iPhone 14 in walmart.com when I saw this deal. It asked me to login to my Verizon (I'm with vzn), and asked for permission to pull credit. I declined. I think anything with a payment plan will need a credit check.

Though this is 36 months contract , but once you activate the line, you can pay off it via chat rep or in cash in verizon store . Once phone is paid , you can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation / upgrade fees. Wait for 60 days to unlock the device.

THIS IS NOT MONTHLY CREDITS. AMOUNT FINANCED will be $299 or $99 , depends which phone you select.

I tried to check out with 2 phones as a new member with the Verizon deal but it won't let me so I checked out with 1 phone. Can I go back in and buy another one? Is there a limit of just 1 per person?

It is interesting how many people make up things not in writing. Like a 5second rule for dropping food on the floor. A 3 day rule activation fees and pro-rated monthly for buying something online despite the two actual contracts you must sign before it will allow checkout.
I had trouble with WM online order. It seemed to not like my soft credit check despite excellent numbers. Perhaps as someone said I am secretly blacklisted on VZ as a new customer. It would process then say contact VZ and not complete. I put in a family members ssn and it completed. In a bizarre twist I have my name on WM and it put it on the prefilled contracts but used family members name to complete soft credit check. I had to use a different browser as my primary browser wouldn't allow both pop ups for the contracts to be e-signed in sequence. I don't know if a single person commenting read those. The first one is a loan contract and it does say prepayment allowed in a subsection. The second separate contract states clearly if you end their long contract early you MUST return any phone you got at a discount or free upon ending that contract. Ok is that enforced after you paid it off is a different question to what you must sign in writing agreeing to.

Did anyone who had their order canceled by Walmart yesterday for "unusual activity" reorder successfully?
Mine seems to have gone through the second time. I spoke to a rep after the cancellation who said they would make a manual change to my account. I waited 5 hours and reordered late last night - order hasn't been cancelled and moved to preparing now

I ordered from WM when the deal went live for WM+ customers and chose Verizon as a new customer. A few hours after ordering I received an email from VZ notifying me that my account email had been changed and I should contact them if I did not initiate the change. I called VZ and they could not find my account (since I had never created it). I provided a few PI details and they were able to find the new phone number I was assigned with the phone purchase. I used that information to create my VZ account. My VZ account has the pdf's for the device payment agreement, service agreement, etc. A welcome letter is there also - with a date of Nov. 11, 2023 - which is the expected delivery date for my device. The welcome letter states: "This letter confirms your activation of wireless service for number (xxx-xxx-xxxx) on Nov. 8, 2023. Based on this information it appears my activation started on the day I made the purchase. On Nov. 8 after I created my VZ account I contacted VZ requesting to pay-off the device. The representative indicated to me that she was not able to submit the payment until 11/23/2023. Seems as if something in there system was preventing payment until after 14 days. I'll try and visit a VZ store today and see if they will accept the payment. I have a feeling I will be stuck with the activation fee + 14 days of service before I can cancel and not risk the required return of the device.
Update:
I just called VZ and asked to pay off the loan amount for my device - the representative look up my account and indicated I owed $299 - I agreed and she emailed me a link to enter the credit card info - for a payment of $299. I submitted the payment and asked for a email confirmation indicating my installment loan was paid - I received email confirmation: Hi, Thank you for processing a payment for your device with an agreement id : xxxxxxxxxx for an amount of $299.00. Thank you for doing business with Verizon. I also asked about the 60 day sim unlock - and she indicated the clock started on Nov. 8
Just got the email now. Seems like activation date is the date of purchase which is odd. If you already paid off the device are you going to cancel the line before or after you receive the phone?

Not sure what to do - I may swallow the fat pill of the activation + 14 day service to avoid any risk of a forced return of the device.

So if I can't cancel it within the 3 days...that's is $65 on the top of the pay off price of the phone? Or they will do pro rate?
No pro-ration IIRC

It's odd that I have not received any email from Verizon to set up the account. My walmart order status shows order being processed with 11/14 delivery date. Should I call VZ? When I try to create acct at verizon with new number assigned during placing walmart order it returns msg "We aren't able to validate this as an active Verizon number. Please double-check your number or activate your device."

You got a new number assigned during the wm.com checkout? I didn't see a phone number assigned to me other than my city. Mine is due to arrive on 11/12 and no email from Verizon either.

I also ordered a Verizon iPhone on Nov 8 right after this deal became live. I downloaded the agreement documents on the final checkout page which includes the phone number assigned. I never received any email from Verizon about my account. I then registered for a Verizon account but was unable to link the phone number to the account on Nov 8, but today, Nov 9, I was able to associated the phone number and was able to see the complete list of documents online, including the activation letter also dated Nov 11. It says:

"Dear XXX,

Thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless. This letter confirms your activation of wireless service for number (XXX) XXX-XXX on November 08, 2023. We have also listed the details concerning your wireless service below. For your records, enclosed is a copy of your Customer Agreement.

For additional details regarding your service, please refer to the back of this letter.

Sincerely,
Verizon Wireless"

Another document called Customer Agreement shows text saying "Activation Fee will be credited if service is cancelled within 3 day."

So it appears the phone was activated on purchase date, not delivery date as I had initially thought from reading other comments. If my phone arrives by tomorrow within the 3 days I can confirm activation (by make a call or text) and then cancel via customer service or port out. For those with delayed delivery, you might confirm online if your account has been activated and cancel it before the 3 days to be able to get refund on the $35 activation fee (or set your expectations to pay it as part the this deal).
